Ever since I found the bright striped shower curtain that would
follow me to Milwaukee,
I've been thinking about this. I didn't want a weird fuzzy seat
cover like mother used to
have, but I wanted something that would transform the boring and
cold-looking commode in my
apartment. I had quite a bit of red polarfleece, and I deemed that
the perfect material to
brighten and warm up the toilet seat. I simply traced the seat lid
onto the fleece, cut four
inches outside the trace line, made a small casing, and ran elastic
through that I tied off
making an elastic circle. It slips onto the lid from the front and
fits really well. The flower
pattern was written for thread, but I used kitchen cotton and a US H
hook. It's one of my favorite
things in the world right now.
