The German didn�t help his recovery, following his sizeable accident in Monaco, when he again hit the barriers hard in Montreal practice last Friday, forcing him to withdraw from qualifying and the race.

"I'm back home (in Monaco) from Canada," the German said. "I arrived on Sunday morning and first slept away my jetlag and the results of my crash. Just in time for the race, I woke up and watched Ralf's great victory.
"Today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday), I will undergo the examinations that our race doctor, Sid Watkins, wanted me to do.
"So I won't be able to do the testing in Silverstone. But by the middle of the week I expect the results of the examinations, and I think I will be back in the cockpit at the Nurburgring."
