22nd June - Bad session for Heinz, but he feels fine.
Heinz-Harald's return to the track was far from auspicious, with several runoffs in the first session and a trip into the gravel in the second. The good news, however, is that while he only managed to complete 17 laps in his two hours and ended the day in a dismal 19th position, there were no after effects from his two recent accidents at Monaco and Canada.

Frentzen describes his medical checkup and his return to racing. "On F1s medical chief Professor Sid Watkins orders, I was examined once more at the Cologne University hospital (on Thursday evening). After I was declared fit and healthy, Sid had a clear consience and gave the go-ahead.
In the first practice session on Friday morning my brakes overheated. We tried to overcome it with a few set-up changes, but they also led to a few run-offs as I left the track several times.
In the second part of the session, I ened up in the gravel for a completely different reason, however, I simply braked too late."

He is convnced he can manage qualifying and the race with no reaction, so is looking to tomorrow's practice session to find the best setup for his EJ11. "Now I hope to make up for the lost time before the qualifying on Saturday."
