Heinz-Harald Frentzen has admitted that he feels Jordan have no chance of beating Williams to third in the constructors championship.
Williams, who have already won two races this year, are just too strong mainly due to the huge power advantage that their engine supplier, BMW, currently provide.
However, the Jordan driver is convinced his team can turn things around and beat Ferrari powered Sauber and Honda-powered rivals BAR to fourth place in the constructors championship.
The German was speaking as the F1 world arrives on his teams home ground at Silverstone for the 11th round of the series, lying fifth in the constructors series. Williams are third with 43 points, Sauber fourth with 16, Jordan have 15 and BAR 12.
Jordan, who have won three Grands Prix before this season, made a good start to the year scoring points in all of the first five races. However, they then had a dip in their fortunes and failed to score one point in the next four events.
But that ended with Frentzens teammate Jarno Trulli picking up two for fifth place in France. Now Jordan are set on making up ground on Sauber at Silverstone.
"We wanted to be third or fourth in the constructors championship," said Frentzen. "But we can see that Williams is too strong a competitor for us and that why we are dealing with the rest now."
A string of events have meant that Heinz-Harald has not scored points since race 4 of this year, no better place that Jordan's home race to buck that trend.
