As yesterday, Ricardo was driving EJ11 chassis 05 and Jarno was using chassis 03. Early on in the session both drivers were only able to run a few installation laps as not enough water on the track dispersed to enable any longer runs to be achieved. Trulli ran 22 laps in total to post the second fastest lap time of 1:32.2, with Zonta's timed lap of 1:36.2 placing him just behind in third having driven 11 laps.

McLaren and BAR packed up at lunchtime due to the bad running conditions, although Jordan continued in vain until the end of the day in the hope that some wet weather tyre testing could be achieved.

Although not able to carry out the comprehensive tyre test planned for the last three days, the team still comes away with some useful data analysis and software developments.
