2nd November - Taku meets the team.

Takuma Sato spent his first full day as a Jordan Honda employee last week when he visited the team's Silverstone base. Sato, who will drive alongside the returning Giancarlo Fisichella in 2002 spent the day having his required seat fitting.

"The seat fitting is very important," he said. "Especially because of my size, I need some special modifications to the pedals and the steering wheel."
Sato also spent the day meeting the Jordan team and got on very well with all. It was a good chance to meet so many of the people who work here. The guys were all really nice and I already feel part of the team."

Sato also spent the day meeting the Jordan team he will work with and remarked that he got on very well with all.

Unfortunately, despite the seat fitting, the Japanese driver will not be able to drive a Jordan F1 car until the New Year due to the current two month testing ban. He will be behind the wheel of an F3 car for the last time, however, when he competes in the prestigious Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix on November 18th.
That is the big one for sure," Sato said. "My final target is obviously to win at Macau."
