My Older One

Hazel eyes of golden round
Slightly knowing always sound
His eyes see what many miss
And his heart as big as the earth at least

Sounds never escape him
No secret ever safe in his harbor
A force we miss when not around
Never broken, never bending

The older one, he is
Yet no less golden than the younger
His smile lights the whole worlds mile
Of others he thinks before himself

Older than his age he can be, born knowing
Full of life, sad wisdoms, always he competes
Agile and strong mixed with brains for utmost use
An athlete of sport set with heart of real life

My son the hockey one
His one biggest love bar none
Forever for always gliding straight and true
Life will take you wherever you wish to go
