Glint in Daddys Eye

We say he was a glint,
You see
A shining spark of light
Set back in his Daddys eye
On the day we married
He was our destiny
We believed
Days, months and soon years did pass
And still the glint
It stayed in his Daddys eye
Tears spilled, Waiting time Still for him
Our destiny sacred
Scared us now too
Would he come, our destiny
No one could tell
We succumbed to being numb
But yet even deep in doubt
The glint it still glittered
In his Daddys eye
Then the day, oh!! that day!!
Our glint became a glow
And the glow
You see
Became our destiny
It became our destiny
Not once but twice
And now we no longer wait
We are blessed as
On our wedding day
We have two of him
The glint in their Daddys eye
Was truer than true
