Part 2

"Huh" now Jack was confused.

"My name, use it," Sam cheekily answered him back. "and besides, were still on base, sir."

"Cut it out Sam, were drinking on the base for crying out loud. Anyway, back to the original discussion, how are we going to get to my quarters while I cant stand up properly and you probably either." Jack asked.

"We lean on each other for support." Sam said.

"Do you have any idea how suspicious that would look ah to hell with it, let em wonder!" Jack exclaimed.

Jack once again stuck his hand out to Sam and pulled her up. They steadied themselves for a minute then set off to Jacks quarters. Jack wrapped an arm around Sam and felt her shiver at his touch. She put her arm around him in return. They stopped at the end of the first corridor, and Jack poked his head around the corner to see if the next was clear.

As they stumbled down the corridor, Jack pulled her closer. She melted against him, smiling widely.

"Feels nice," Jack said softly.

"Wanted for so long," Sam replied.

Jack stopped walking and looked at her. She looked back up at him, realizing what shed said. They both laughed lightly.

"So, you too?" Jack asked.

"Yeah. Its been kept in that room too long," she replied.

They were pulled from their daze as Jacob came down the hallway. "You two look like your connected to each other." Jacob replied.

Jack and Sam separated from each other, not going far though in case the other needed support. They both looked at Jacob and saw he was grinning.

"Dad?" Sam asked.

"Yes Sam." Jacob replied still grinning.

"What are you grinning at?"

"Oh, nothing."

"Jake!!!" Jack shouted.

"Ok, I was just thinking how cute you look together."

"DAD!!!" Jack and Sam both shouted loud enough to be heard on the surface.

"You would make a cute couple," Jacob continued.

Jack blushed, wondering if his feelings were that obvious. He moved away from Sam a bit more, hoping Jacob would move on soon. He desperately wanted to get to his quarters and sit down, before he fell down.

"Dad, theres nothing going on between us," Sam insisted.

Jacob laughed at her, "There should be. In your words Jack, screw the regs."

"Ok Jake, lets get you to the infirmary."

Sam shoved Jack playfully and he fell against the wall. Both of them started laughing, feeling the full effects of the alcohol.

"Why?" Jacob interrupted.

"Why? Jesus dad youre practically telling us to screw the regs," Sam said when shed stopped laughing.

"Theres more important things than regulations Sam, and one of them is your happiness. As your father, I happen to know Jack is the man to make you happy," Jacob answered looking at Sam.

"I cant believe were having this discussion on base, in the middle of a corridor, for crying out loud!" Sam said, starting to sound like Jack with her words.

Jack and Jacob both stared at Sam after her last statement.

"What?"

"I see youre picking up on Jacks ONeillisms," Jacob said.

"ONeillisms?" Sam and Jack both asked in unison.
