FIRST Read the rules below, then if you understand them, and still want to join the SFWL, click on the JOIN link below. Later if you decide to create a tag team, you will find that link below also, however, both wrestlers must have already been created AND accepted into the league.

I. Gimmicks-
No real wrestlers are allowed. When we say "No Real Wrestlers" - we mean no "Stone Cold" Steve Austin or No "Stone Cold" Your Name Here. The SFWL is an original league with original concepts. Any obvious variations of themes or gimmicks will not be allowed.

II. Number of Wrestlers per handler-
a)- Each person is allowed 2 "real" wrestlers and one "jobber". There is a "grandfather clause" that allowed certain role-players who have been here for a long time period to use a third or fourth wrestler, if they desire. They are a special exemption to this rule.

b)- Using masked men in attacks counts against the number of wrestlers allowed.

c)- Once submitted to the league, a wrestler may not be replaced for thirty days.

III. Role-playing-
a)- Role-playing is required to receive as well as win matches. In order to get matches on the cards, you must have shown substantial commitment to the SFWL. In other words, you must have role-played frequently enough to be deemed a worthy part of the league. By role-playing, we mean role-plays longer than a paragraph, with some substance to it. Spelling ability is a good thing to possess, because you can write a very well thought out role-play, but if you have numerous mistakes, it renders your points moot. People are not looking at what you have to say - they're looking at how you have spelled it.

b)- As for winning matches, the SFWL is a semi-booked league. What this means is that role-playing is taken into account when deciding the outcomes of the matches. However, it is generally a rule of thumb if it's too close to call, the match gets simmed. The only time people are "jobbed" is if there is a clear difference in the amount of role-playing between the two sides. For instance, if Wrestler A flashes 4 times for a match, while Wrestler B doesn't flash at all, Wrestler B will lose the match. I try not to book that many matches, but I'm not afraid to job people if they just aren't proving to me they care. Of course, if there is an excuse to not role-playing (Vacations, Work Schedule, etc.), exceptions can be made. Also,if you show a good pattern of role-playing at one point (sending 4 or 5 role-plays a ) and then there's a drought of role-plays, chances are you won't get jobbed that quickly.

c)- If you are unfamiliar with the concepts and style required in creating a good roleplay, the SFWL may not be for you. The SFWL has matured greatly during its existence, and we do not call ourselves a "beginner's league." If you feel with roelplaying in an experienced enviroment, we suggest joining another league and re-applying when you have gained some additional experience.

d)-Role-plays must be (somewhat) realistic. If in Role-plays a wrestler does something that would generally get them in major trouble in real life(i.e. kill somebody) they will get in trouble here as well.

e)- Please only role-play from the address that you submitted from the league. Unless you tell the fed-heads beforehand, please do not violate this rule. Also, if you have a friend in the league, and you write a flash from his house, please be sure you use your own e-mail account. Any violation of this rule will be an automatic suspension.

f)- The words "jobber" and "gimmick" are forbidden in any role-plays. Use others words. If you are caught using said words, a one-card suspension will be issued

g)- There is no using any other wrestler in the SFWL without that handlers' consent. You can't use another wrestler in your flashes without getting permission from that handler. You also must notify a member of the board if you have permission to use another wrestler. Also, there is a "No Impression" Policy in place - there are no attempts to impersonate another wrestler at any time -- UNLESS it is done in a way that is obvious that was the intent (ie the "DX impersionation of The Nation" skit from Raw, or the "NWO/Four Horsemen skit" from Nitro). A suspension will be issued if you use "lookalikes" in your flash as well as "a mask of that wrestler".

h)- The mailing list is for league business only. ANY other uses without the expressed consent of the SFWL will result in termination from the league. This refers to chain letters, advertisements to other e-feds, or anything else that is not to league business. Exceptions are sometimes made for "Real" Wrestling-related items. If you want to use an "OOC/Out Of Character", you can put it above your role-play.

i)- Threatening handlers in any way not related to e-wrestling is an automatic lifetime banishment.

j)- If you submit a form to the league, and you get put on the mailing list - you're in the fed. Start role-playing. Just because you're not on the roster does not mean that you arenot in the fed. It goes like this: You're in the fed when you're on the mailing list - but you won't get a debut match until you show me you're committed here by sending some good, quality, role-plays. After that, I'll make an effort to get your wrestler on the roster. Please be patient.

IV. Challenging for Matches-
a)- The vice-president (Chris Binstock- [email protected]) shall be made aware of all challenges. There is a link on the homepage to send him mail.

b)- Important note when sending challenges - Please be nice. Don't send an e-mail demanding your wrestler a spot on the card. Show respect to him, and he will treat you the same way.

c)- For some reasons your match may not show up on the card. This could be due to your wrestler challenging a wrestler that is already booked, or a variety of other reasons. A good idea is to challenge a few wrestlers to matches, just to make sure. An example of a good challenge should be sent like this: "Chris: Could you please schedule "Wrestler A" for a match the next available card? I would like to challenge "Wrestler B", or if that cannot happen, "Wrestler C" would do. Thanks for your help, if there are any problems, please e-mail me. Thanks." You don't have to follow that exactly, but it helps.

V. In-ring Attacks-
a)- All attacks shall be mailed to the requisite official by 12:00 noon EST the day before the card. So if you want to have an attack for Tuesday, make sure it's in by 12:00 Monday. Any attacks that come in after that time will not be honored.

b)- Attacks must be in TNM form. This would be best described by example. If you want to submit a basic attack, you could send me something like this: "Jim, if you could, please run this attack during the match between Wrestler A and Wrestler B. Wrestler C comes to ringside. Wrestler C grabs a steel chair from the timekeeper. Wrestler C enters the ring and nails Wrestler A in the back of the head with the chair. Wrestler C leaves the ring" This is a very basic attack, and can be altered to fit your needs. But this is the form I'd like to receive them in - just so they flow with the card a bit better. No unrealistic attacks will be honored. What this means is that there will be no "Carbolic Acid" poured on wrestlers, no putting them through 15 tables. Basically, if you don't see it on Monday Night Wrestling - then it probably won't happen here. The President reserves the right to edit attacks.

c)- All attacks are first come, first serve. If you send in an attack for the World Title match first, then you'll get that attack put on the card. If I can fit the second attack on there, I will - but no promises. The only time this rule can be altered is if you are with a wrestler, and you send in an attack second, your attack probably will go on the card instead.

d)- Please try to limit attacks to one per night. This includes stable attacks and the like. If you send in three or four attacks, you will only get one in - and it may not be the one you REALLY wanted.

e)- If you're going to attack someone - make sure they're on the card wrestling. You can't "attack someone in the locker room" if they're not on the card.

f)- You cannot control the other wrestler you're attacking. You cannot make them talk, or do things that may be "out of character". You cannot go to the ring and call out Wrestler A, make them come down to the ring, and then beat the heck out of them. No controlling the other wrestlers at any time

VI. Absence-
The board shall be made aware of when you will be unable to role-play for whatever reason. Common courtesy. Tell us you're away so you don't get jobbed.

VII. Respect-
If you are going to e-mail the board, or anyone else for that matter, PLEASE show a little respect. I don't want someone asking "WHRE THE HELL IZ ME WRESLER ON THA ROSTR? Treat the board with respect and everything will be okay.

VIII. The SFWL Homepage
The homepage is updated when we have time. I try to do it whenever possible, but this is only a hobby of mine - if my schedule allows me to update the page, I will.

IX. SFWL Card Writers
a)- You will get the card either the morning of or day before the card should go out. Please do your best to get the card out after 5 p.m. If you cannot write the card, please contact me as soon as you find out -- the day before at the latest. If you're going to "subcontract" the card out to different writers, please let me know so I am aware of it.

b)-if there is a mix-up and the card will not get out on time, you must notify someone in charge so something can be done about it. Failure to do so will result in a suspension of wrestlers. If you "sub-contract" matches when writing, and their parts are late or unwritten, then both parties are liable and will be dealt with accordingly. This is just common courtesy people... if you know the card is going to be late, please tell someone so something can be done about it... These things happen - but at least be up front about it. If there are extenuating circumstances, exceptions can be made - however no "the dog ate my homework" excuses... On a sidenote, if you are supposed to do the card but can't - just tell me and there will be no problems... However, if you're doing Tuesday's card and on Wednesday I find out the excuse - there's going to be problems...

c)- When you get the card to commentate - it is NOT to be changed unless you get word from Jim to change it. That means, no adding your own attacks, or changing the results of matches. Any attempt to do this will result in immediate and permanent termination from the SFWL.
