The scene slowly fades in from black, showing an empty SFWL ring in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. After a few seconds, "A Shogun Named Marcus" by Clutch begins blaring, and SFWL wrestlers begin emerging from every possible location within the arena - the entranceway, the stands, the fire exits, even under the ring - and charging into the ring. After just over a minute, almost the entire SFWL roster is in the ring, brawling with each other. Three individuals, dressed as slightly smaller versions of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Sid (this IS Atlanta, after all) charge the ring, but are promptly tossed out. They slink off through one of the floor-level exits. The brawl escalates, and eventually, every SFWL wrestler is thrown out of the ring except for two men...The Grimm Reaper and "Suicide" Steve Fella. As they stand toe-to-toe, the intro ends and the camera cuts to a live shot of the Georgia Dome, where the capacity crowd is on their feet. Davis: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to SFWL Wrestlefest 2000, coming at you LIVE from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia! Briggs: Somewhat proud home of that OTHER federation we don't like to talk about... Davis: Well, Paul's libelous comments aside, we have an unbelievable show lined up tonight! EVERY SFWL title is on the line here in Atlanta! In tonight's main event, "Suicide" Steve Fella will defend the SFWL World Heavyweight title against the man he pinned to claim it at Winter Wasteland one month ago...The Grimm Reaper! Briggs: And this isn't going to be a standard match, either...it's going to be a Last Man Standing match! This match will not end by countout, disqualification, pinfall or submission...it will ONLY end when one of the wrestlers can't continue! Davis: And, with The Reaper and Fella in the ring, that match could go well into the night! Briggs: We'll also see the number one contender for the World Heavyweight title determined tonight, as SFWL Intercontinental champion The Brahmin will face Arioc in a match to determine who will face the World Champion at Ultra Slam 4! And I'm informed that this match will have a special guest referee! Davis: The Intercontinental title will NOT be on the line in that match, but the winner will come away with a shot at the big prize one month from now! Briggs: The World Tag Team titles will also be defended as True North step into the ring with the winners of the Round Robin Tag Team tournament that we have seen play out on Wednesday Terror and Extreme Saturday over the past few weeks. Davis: And they don't even know who they're going to be facing! The winner of that tournament will be decided tonight as the tournament finalists, the teams of Street Fighters 2000 and Barret McDougal and Rob Justice, face off! Briggs: Whoever goes on to face True North will have to wrestle twice in one night! They are really going to have to reach deep if they want to claim those titles! Davis: As well, the Cruiserweight title will be defended, as Rob Justice puts the belt on the line against the demented Rei! Briggs: Rei may be odd...well, okay, he IS odd...but there's no denying his talent. That should be an excellent match! Davis: And the Extreme champion will be decided in unique fashion tonight...a pinfalls-only battle royal! Six competitors - Paine, Violent Josh, Five, Mike Torment, The Impaler and Jay Money - will vie for the title vacated by "The Apprentice of Fear" Chris Lupsa! Briggs: In addition to that great upper card, we also have several non-title matches lined up, including Havoc versus Mike Torment, Cyber versus Super Sexy, and what was SUPPOSED to be The Impaler taking on Cronyn in a scaffold match...unfortunately, that last contest had to be changed at the last minute due to Cronyn's unexpected retirement. Davis: The Impaler insisted that he still receive the PPV match he was promised, though...so an opponent HAS been found for him! We've yet to be informed who that is, though, so, like the fifty thousand fans in attendance here tonight, and the millions watching at home, we'll just have to wait and see who that opponent is! Briggs: YOU may have to wait, but I took the liberty of searching the Internet, and I have found out who The Impaler will face tonight! Davis: (sarcastically) PLEASE enlighten us, Paul. Briggs: The Impaler's opponent will be none other than...YOKOZUNA! Davis: Uh, Paul... Briggs: Well, there IS a possibility that that source isn't one HUNDRED percent reliable...but I've also heard that - and this is from an INDUSTRY INSIDER - that The Impaler's mystery opponent will in fact be recent WCW releasee "The Franchise" Shane Douglas! Davis: You're just making these up, aren't you!? Briggs: I can't believe you'd accuse me of that! Okay...I'll admit those other two MIGHT not have been completely accurate. But I have information...from someone INSIDE the SFWL...that The Impaler's mystery opponent is going to be...in what may be the single biggest swerve in the history of professional wrestling...the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal...SABU! You see, WCW wasn't willing to compensate Paul Heyman, but, at the last second, the SFWL stepped in, ponied up the cash, and now, SABU will be the man to climb that scaffold with The Impaler tonight! Davis: Shut up, Paul. Just shut up. For one brief, shining moment, I thought you might actually have some REAL information, but you, as always, turned the whole damn thing into a joke! Briggs: ALL that information came from legitimate sources! Davis: What!? You had THREE different names! Briggs: That doesn't make my sources any less legitimate! Each and every one of my sources on this is a child of legally married parents! Davis: Shut up, Paul. Briggs: Fine...it looks like it's time for the first match, anyway. (The camera cuts to a shot of the backstage area.) "Suicide" Steve Fella is laying on the ground, with a Singapore Cane lying beside him. There is a banner laying over Fella's chest. The banner reads "Modern Originalus". (Someone in the background audibly says "two can play that game, Steve" just before the camera cuts back to a shot of ringside.) Briggs: Someone has laid out the World Champion! Davis: And, judging by what we just heard, it's someone who Fella has crossed at some point in the past! Briggs: Well, that narrows it down to...everybody. Davis: Hopefully, we'll find out more about this later tonight - but, for now, we have to get to our next match! Brick Bruiser just got crushed! Wayne Reid climbs to the second turnbuckle. Brian Bowers is handed a microphone. Brian Bowers: I didn't want to do this, but, you have to admit, there would be a MAJOR backlash against the SFWL if the millions of people who shelled out the thirty dollars to order this pay-per-view ended up having to watch THESE stooges wrestle twice in one night! So, basically, it's in the best interest of the company that we take out these two now, insuring that the tag title match will at least break three stars. All right...if anyone wants to thank us for making sure you DON'T have to see Combat and Bruiser twice in one night, now would be a good time. (Brian Bowers turns to the crowd expectantly.) (The arena is exploding in a chorus of boos, and the ring is rapidly filling up with trash.) Brian Bowers: Ingrates. Wayne Reid executes the Northern Exposure on Brick Bruiser. Davis: And now, the SFWL crew is setting up that sixteen-foot scaffold above the ring for our next match...where The Impaler will face an as-yet-unnamed opponent! Briggs: What do you mean unnamed! I already told you, it's going to be Yokozuna...or Shane Douglas...or Sabu...hey, maybe it'll be all three! Davis: You never know in the SFWL...but I seriously doubt it'll be either of those three. Mainly because that would require you being RIGHT, and precedent states THAT isn't too likely. This contest is a no-DQ-no-countout-no-time-limit-Scaffold Match match Scheduled for one fall. Introducing first... Hailing from Truth of Consequences, New Mexico... Weighing in at 340 pounds... The Impaler His opponent... Davis: The Impaler is on his way up the scaffold...and now it's time to find out who his mystery opponent is...it could be anyone, from the SFWL roster or otherwise...and, that mystery opponent is... "Hey Ladies" by the Beastie Boys starts up over the loudspeakers as Bad Larry makes his way to the ring. Briggs: BAD LARRY!?! THE MYSTERY OPPONENT IS BAD LARRY!?! Clad in jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed boots, Bad Larry storms down the aisle, stopping occasionally to yell at some fans. Bad Larry climbs up the stairs and stops for a moment on the apron, to yell at some more fans. He runs his fingers through his short, blonde hair, and flips the sweat off his brow in the general direction of the fans that are trying to provoke him. After grinning to himself with confidence, he slips into the ring and raises his arms high. He swaggers around the ring, for a moment, as if psyching himself up to start climbing the ladder to the scaffold. He grabs the mic and begins to speak. Bad Larry: Alright Impaler, now you've done it. You see you're using the oldest trick in the book. You want people to think you're all mean and evil and all that, but you're not. You're bluffing. You see, I betcha that once I climb that ... long...high... ladder to get to that...rickity...scaffold... that you're going to climb down and make me look like an idiot. Well, it's not going to happen, because if it does, I'm going to jump on you from the top and beat the living hell out of you for trying to show me up. See, cause I'm in the back listening to you go on and on about how you're evil incarnate and all those other cliches. Impaler, you're just some poor guy who snuck past the gimmick police. You can't wrestle a lick, so you figure you might as well scare them some. You're just as bad as The Olive... or the Cannibal... or whatever. One minute he's the Godfather, next he's The Undertaker - but he still sucks - just like you, son. So, I'm going to come up there right now and knock some good sense in your head, and if you don't like it, well, that's just TOO BAD! Bad Larry spikes the mic and starts to climb the ladder. Bad Larry gets to the top of the scaffold and charges at The Impaler. The lights in the arena go out. Briggs: Come ON! At least get the lights working properly for the pay-per-view! When they come back on, Bad Larry has disappeared from the scaffold. In his place, is the man they call FAUST. The crowd is going batshit. Davis: FAUST! FAUST IS IN THE BUILDING! Faust executes a series of forearm smashes on The Impaler. Briggs: It's a battle of the vampires up there! Faust takes him down with a backspin DDT. Faust goes for a belly-to-belly suplex, but The Impaler counters with a punch. Faust tries to throw The Impaler off the scaffold, but The Impaler blocks it. Davis: The Impaler grabbing hold of the rigging to prevent himself from being thrown to the mat! Briggs: I'm not sure why he'd waste time and effort doing that when he can just turn into a bat and FLY back up onto the scaffold! The Impaler goes for a punch, but Faust reverses the move. Faust takes him down with a spinebuster bomb. Faust goes for a series of forearm smashes, but The Impaler ducks out of the way. The Impaler misses a rabbit punch. The Impaler executes a punch. The Impaler stomps with the punch. Davis: The Impaler putting ALL his weight behind those punches! Briggs: And they're still not budging Faust! Davis: And Faust sends The Impaler down to the mat! Faust has won this match in short order! Briggs: The Impaler may be hurt! We need some medical attention out here! The winner is Faust. Time of match: 00:02:38. As The Impaler writhes on the ground in pain, Cerberus slips into the ring with a mic in hand, and stands over The Impaler.) Cerberus: We're BAAAAAA-AAAACK. Miss us? Listen up, new kid, when you regain consciousness, you're going to realize what just happened to you, and that you have been destroyed by one of the greatest wrestlers ever to step foot in the ring. You tell all your friends in the back. You tell Jay Money and Super Sexy, and the Cannibal, and Cyber, and all the rest of those freaks that will clutter up the midcard for the next few months, you go back there and you deliver a message that Faust is back in the SFWL, and while he was gone, he learned a few new tricks. (Cerberus walks over The Impaler and looks up at Faust, who is celebrating his return by slumping in the corner of the scaffold, next to the ladder. Cerberus addresses the audience.) Cerberus: Take notice, SFWL. This is the new Faust - same as the old Faust. He doesn't need Arioc anymore and the stereotypes that come with being one half of the most lethal tag team in SFWL history. Faust was never a... vampire... and never will be. Guilt by association is a very bad thing, and you will all be judged soon. Faust now has nothing else to hold him down, no tag team titles, no Lilith love triangle - there's nothing preventing him from reaching his goal - his destiny - and that is to take what is rightfully his: the SFWL World Championship. So once more into the breach, my friends, and we will start our ascention into the annals of the SFWL hierarchy. So it is written, so it shall come to pass. Faust has returned, and may God have mercy on the souls that dare to stand in his way... your destruction... is inevitable. Faust and Cerberus leave the ring area. EMTs arrive at ringside, load The Impaler onto a stretcher, and carry him to the back. Davis: This is amazing! Faust has returned to the SFWL, and he's done so in dramatic fashion, completely dismantling The Impaler! Briggs: And now, folks, it's time to send this broadcast back to our American colleagues! We'll see you in a couple of hours, when we bring you the World Title Number One Contender's match - Arioc versus The Brahmin! [You can hear the voice of Jim Anderson at the announcer's table.] JA: Welcome back to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, Nick Fury and I are ready to bring the action to everyone watching us on Pay-Per-View tonight. NF: Thanks Nick, this should be one hell of an evening as WrestleFest is traditionally the prelude to the biggest show of them all, Ultra-Slam. This contest is a no-DQ-no-countout-no-time-limit-match scheduled for one fall. JA: That's right, Nick, Well we are ready for our next match featuring the former World Champion Havoc taking on one of the promising new stars of the SFWL, Mike Torment. I would have to say that an upset by Torment would be a huge boost for his career. NF: That's right, but Mike Torment isn't going to have an easy time, as Havoc is a former World Champion. I know I've heard people talk about how Havoc has been in some sort of slump lately, but I still think you would be making a mistake not to give him some credit. The Arena goes suddenly to complete darkness... Then a Very Loud Hum begins to sound off for thirty seconds, then following that "Anthem for the Year 2000" by Silver Chair begins to play as pyro explodes in different directions... NF: Is this Arioc? JA: No that's definitely Havoc! Same effects, much different music... (OOC: This began so much like Arioc's entrance I couldn't pass up taking a few shots at it. - Mike) As Havoc walks out a Red Light follows him all the way to the ring. Havoc is a very tall man. He is 7'1, and is 378 lbs. He has long black hair to his shoulders; He also has a Mustache and Goatee. He has a tattoo of a heart with barbwire around it and through it on his left arm... and then on his right arm he has his infamous Wrath of Havoc tattoo. Havoc's wrestling attire is very strange as he doesn't wearing just any regular attire he wears all black. Black wrestling boots, and he also wears no shirt or anything to cover him up, so you can see a very muscular individual. Havoc is wearing some black Jeans with several holes in them. When Havoc enters the ring he automatically goes right after his opponent. Fighting out of Parts Unknown... Weighing in at 378 pounds... Havoc His opponent... "Beethoven's Ninth Symphony" plays melodically over the loudspeakers as Mike Torment and his valet, Heather, step out from the locker room. "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" by the Offspring starts up over the loudspeakers as The Brahmin steps out from behind the curtain. The Brahmin is 6 feet, 4 inches tall. He weighs approximately 235 pounds, and is in fairly good shape. He has brown hair and eyes, and comes to the ring wearing something similar to the Hardy Boyz, with a tight, spandex-y shirt and black jeans. He walks down to the ring with a very set, determined look in his face. The Brahmin slaps the hands of a few fans on his way to the ring. He climbs into the ring and awaits the start of the match. Accompanied to the ring by "Suicide" Steve Fella Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts... Weighing in at 236 pounds... The SFWL Intercontinental Champion... The Brahmin His opponent... The lights in the arena go out. There is a low rumbling that causes the arena to vibrate roughly. The first few forceful chords of "Dies Irae" from Verdi's Requiem blare out, followed by blast of pyrotechnics ripping through the darkness. A spotlight hits the entrance where Arioc stands, with The Watcher right in front of him. Arioc's manager, dwarfed by his charge, leads him to the ring, their promenade illuminated by irregular flashes of strobing light, almost seeming like lightning from the heavens. Arioc often snarls and growls at the fans, sending the more timid ones skittering back. The lights come back up as Arioc steps over the top rope into the ring, as The Watcher steps back and finds a seat. Arioc leans over the top rope and removes his bracers, tossing them to the floor. Arioc is a man of impressive size, nearly seven feet in height, but possessing amazing agility. His hair is cut to the back of his neck, but it is all knotted and tangled, as if unkempt. He comes down the ring with steel bracers on his forearms, which he removes before entering the ring. He also wears a one piece body suit that is irregularly striped with thin patches of pure black and deep crimson. His face (with his five o'clock shadow) is covered, like his hair and hands, in splotches of deep brown and red, resembling spatterings of dried blood. He wears large black boots, which only extend halfway to the knee, and black kneepads. His deep blue eyes always have a wild look to them, as if he is never really all there. The Watcher is just inches under six feet in height. He is wearing all black, with a long robe that reaches the floor, sleeves covering his arms which end in black-gloved hands. Over his head an face is a strange hood with a round skull-piece to which is attached two straight pieces of black fabric. One starts at the back of his head and curves around both sides, extending down to about the middle of his shoulders. The front piece covers his entire face extending to his sternum. He walks slowly, his arms either at his sides or tucked into his sleeves at most times. Led to the ring by The Watcher... From Pandemonium... Weighing in at 340 pounds... "The Fallen Angel" Arioc Briggs: Say what you want about Arioc, the man knows how to make an entrance! The Watcher calls for a mic. The timekeeper brings one over to him. The Watcher: Fella... The lights go out again. Everyone is at the edge of their seat, waiting for whoever is going to step through the curtain. Metallica's "No Leaf Clover" begins to play. A few of the fans react to the music, but many are still puzzled. There is another explosion of white from the entrance, masking the arena lights as they are brought back up. When the light dies down a little bit, Lilith is seen at the entrance. The fans are totally behind Lilith. Briggs: LILITH! LILITH IS THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE! Lilith: But I won't say the constant torment hasn't changed me, Steve. There's some more surprises coming. There's more payback. You are not the manipulator you think you are Fella. This is the endgame Fella. We've got you in check! Enjoy the World Title for now, but bring it... and bring your game to Ultra Slam 4, because at Ultra-Slam it's game... set... MATCH! Arioc lets go of Steve Fella. Lilith, Arioc, and The Watcher walk toward the back together. EMTs come down to help Steve Fella. JA: [very subdued] Ladies and gentlemen we're just about out of time. We'll see you this Wednesday for Terror, hopefully we can have word on Steve Fella's condition then... And Whether or not Lilith gets what she wants I just hope one day soon, she gets what she deserves... good night.
