The scene opens with a shot of a farmer’s field. A few remaining cornstalks are still standing, as the moon rises over the recently harvested land. A hayride rolls into view, packed with enthusiastic youngsters enjoying the late-fall scenery. Although SFWL Harvest in Hell is rated TV-14 DLV, and the SFWL does NOT market to children, the young age of the hayride participants seems to send a mixed message. The hay wagon passes an embarassed Ricky Brookman, trying to steal a shirt from a scarecrow. He bolts, and tries to hide behind a single cornstalk. “Welcome to Bucketheadland” by Buckethead begins blaring as the hay wagon rolls on, much faster than before. The hay wagon continues gaining speed, as the images of various SFWL superstars flash on the screen. *SFWL* The hay wagon comes to a sudden stop in front of a barn, inside of which a wrestling ring is set up. The hayride participants rush into the stands as SFWL superstars begin charging the ring from all directions, climbing, sliding and jumping in to brawl with each other. *HARVEST* The ring slowly begins to clear, as wrestlers are thrown out to the barn floor. *IN* Within a matter of seconds, the only two men left in the ring are Mike Torment and Paine, staring each other down from opposite corners. *HELL* They slowly approach each other as...the camera fades to black. The camera cuts to an interior shot of the Mark of the Quad Cities in Moline, Illinois. The capacity crowd is on their feet, cheering wildly. Almost all of them are wearing an SFWL t-shirt, or holding up a sign or piece of merchandise. After panning around the arena, the camera comes to a stop at the Canadian announcers’ table, where Del Davis and “Big” Paul Briggs are seated. Davis: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to SFWL Harvest in Hell 2001! We’ve got a great show lined up here tonight - every sanctioned SFWL title will be on the line here tonight! Briggs: And we’ve got a classic main event scheduled for the top of the card - Paine will defend the SFWL World Heavyweight title against the leader of Bastards Incorporated, Mike Torment! Davis: But we’ve got seven more outstanding matches scheduled before that, so lets send this one over to our broadcast colleagues to bring you the first of tonight’s action! We’ll be back later in the evening to bring you the SFWL’s first-ever barbed wire strap match, as Wayne Reid takes on Shin Mebadazz! (OOC: Apologies for the weak intro - most of today’s efforts were, unfortunately, directed at essays.) Mike Torment can be seen entering the arena. He has his gymbag slung over his shoulder. He has a very determined look of concentration on his face. Mike Torment walks past the camera and around a nearby corner. Suddenly Mike Torment comes flying from around the corner into a pile of trash. Paine walks from around the corner carring a shovel. Paine walks up and begins to stomp on Mike Torment. Paine holds the Shovel high over his head. Paine strikes Mike Torment in the head with the shovel. Mike Torment is out cold. Mike Torment is busted open. Paine drops the shovel and takes the SFWL Title from around his waist. Paine stoops down and smacks Mike Torment. Paine picks up Mike Torment by the hair. Paine holds the SFWL Title in Mike Torment's face. Paine: "You see this!? This is as close as your getting to this title tongiht! Do you hear me? Can you? You make me sick! Paine drops Torment as some SFWL Officials rush onto the scene. They get between Torment and Paine and begin to usher Paine out of the area. Some of the officials begin to check on an unconcious Mike Torment. As the camera comes around the corner to watch Paine leave we see Heather beside him. She's looking down at a busted open Mike Torment with a nervous expression on her face. She then turns and chases after Paine who is already on his way down the long hallway. Why I, Steve Fella, stabbed my Bastard Inc. partner in the back...and why, that man... Steve Fella points at Grant Taylor. Steve Fella: ...seconded me in this heinous attack. I must admit, riding the fame of the Bastards was great while it lasted. Hell, I didn't have to lift a god damn finger, but yet I was still considered great because I was a Bastard. But, as the old saying goes, there's always that one spoiled egg that ruins the batch. And you, Kent McKnight, are that spoiled egg. It wasn't enough that I choked down my ego and rejoined you guys, no...that wasn't enough for you. Since you've been back, you've constintley have been straight dissing me. ME of all people. One of the FOUNDING FOUR of the Bastards. I mean, sure, you're probably more noteable of being a Bastard. AFter all, it was you who coined the phrase "Never Trust a Bastard". But let's get with it. Who's idea was it to form the most elite stable the SFWL has ever had in its existence? Mike Torment? You?!? Steve Fella kicks Kent McKnight again. Steve Fella: Kent McKnight...the man who had the most unworthiest World title reigns...never able to BREAK the glass ceiling and really enter the echelon. I'm a former TWO TIME World Champion...two time Interconintental Champion...and Extreme Champion...and a Multi-time Cruiserweight Champion. Grant helped me see it again...that fire that made me the greatest thing since...well...come to think of it, nobody is as great as I am! The fans start throwing trash into the ring. Steve Fella: I was sitting in the back a couple weeks ago, after my Flair impression...Mr. Taylor walked up to me and said "Steve, what gives? You're the ICON and you're out there doing comedy?" Grant starts to clap his hands. Steve Fella: THAT'S RIGHT! I'm the ICON...and here I was doing comedy! Was I now on the same level as the rest of the Bastards who ENJOY making people laugh? I'm all up for shit and giggles, but when someone has the audacity to ask me, the ICON of the SFWL, to make people laugh, that's where I draw the line. I don't do SHIT for these people! The fans are booing their heads off. Steve Fella: You blood thirsty SFWL fans have done NOTHING for me. And after Grant questioned me about my tactics recently, and I answered him with an unknowing answer...Grant came up with the suggestion that I needed to look deep down, into my roots, into my SOUL to find who I really am. You know what I saw deep down, deep within me? I saw the heart that beats to be the ICON. I saw a man who has stopped at nothing to accomplish everything and anything he desires. I saw that fire...and I saw my bitter hatred for you, Kent. Kent McKnight is starting to stir. Steve Fella: I asked Grant to become my manager. The GREATEST play-by-play man in the business, PERIOD. He knows the wrestlers. Inside and out. He's watched countless videos, talked with the boys in the back. He knows their shoe size, what deodorant they use, and more importantly, what makes them TICK! But the best reason I can think of... Kent McKnight is to his knees. Steve Fella: ...to have Grant on my side is that... Kent McKnight crawls towards Steve Fella. Steve Fella: ...is that when your attention is to me... Grant Taylor picks up the chair. Steve Fella: ...he'll HIT YOU when you least expect it! Grant Taylor nails Kent McKnight with the chair in the back of head. Steve Fella: Just remember this, Kent. You claim to be the Best Damn the sport has ever seen...well, we all know...that I am the Best Damn ICON the SFWL has WITNESSED! Steve Fella tears off his Bastards Inc. t-shirt revealing another t-shirt with "Best Damn ICON" printed on the front. Steve Fella: And if you don't like that... Steve Fella turns around. The back of his shirt reads "Tooo F'n Bad" Grant points as Steve Fella says... Steve Fella: Tooooo F'n Bad! Hit my NEW music! "Smoke Two Joints" by Sublime plays. Steve Fella and Grant Taylor leave the ring to loud boos. JB: How sick is Steve Fella? What is he thinking? He may have just signed his own death warrant here tonight. Well that's all from us tonight! We leave here tonight along with a very happy Kent McKnight, a frustrated Ash, an unlucky Azrael and an Unconscious Chris Steele, courtesy of Tirok Siban and an iron bar! I hope the boy's alright! JS: Until next we meet wrestle-fans, I'm Jerry "Hot Potato" SUmmerville, ably assisted by my beautiful assisstant Johnny B Bookbinder, signing off....Enjoy the rest of the card!
