During the semester you will read a minimum of 2 books (from our Module Library?) plus a required text.

When you are asked to read professional literature, you may need to use the following survival technique:

a) Choose books that interest or provoke you.

b) Skim the text in order to get the general gist of the material. Don't get bogged down reading each book in detail. Get an overview only (with a few areas that specifically relate to your practice).

c) When you encounter some part of the text that provokes some reaction within you, read that section more carefully looking for clarification or supporting details.

As a module, we need to decide which of the two ways we'll present our bibliographies:

A. Collaborative Book Share:

On one sheet of paper per book (no more please!) prepare a short annotated bibliography for each book (APA style), [but not for the required text]. Put these sheets in your "Pro in the Box" (Portfolio).

Then, at the end of the 401/2 term, Kate and Ray will collate your bibliographies and copy them for everyone in the module. That way, each person will have a collection of bibliographies that will support our growth as we complete 405 and move into our careers...If things will work out, that would be a booklet of about 60 bibliographies each.

Or...perhaps...

B. Personal Card:

On a recipe card prepare an up to 5 sentence annotated bibliography for each book (APA style). Put these cards in your "Pro in the Box". You will share them with your SA and your FA at the Midterm and Final.

Each way has a specific purpose. Perhaps we could come up with yet another way?
