Mid-term Three-Way Conference

During week 7 a Mid-term Three-Way Conference will be held with your FA and SA.

The conference(s) will be led by you and will include a written summary statement of your assessment of professional growth to that point in the semester and a written plan for your future professional development. Along with this summary and plan, you will submit a portfolio of documents and artifacts (Pro in the Box) that back up your judgments - examples from both the theoretical and practical work to that point in the semester. A handout explaining the use of the Pro in the Box will be available during the first week of the semester.

Both FA and SA will discuss your mid-term assessment with you and add their data and opinion to yours. Where perceptions differ dramatically, the conferees will apply diagnostic skills to learn how the discrepant perceptions have come about. An important goal in carrying out these evaluative procedures is to help you become more critically aware of your own performance. Additions to the summary statement are made at the conference(s) and signed by all three partners.

Final Three-Way Conference

During Week 11 a Final Three-Way Conference will be held with both your FA and your SA. The conference(s) will be led by you and will include a draft summary statement of your assessment of professional growth in the semester and a written plan for your future professional development in Education 404 and 405. Again, you will submit a portfolio of documents and artifacts (Pro in the Box) that back up your judgments.

Both FA and SA will discuss your assessment with you and add their data and opinion to yours. Additions or deletions to the summary statement and professional growth plan are made at the conference. You will then take the information from the conference and complete your EDUCATION 401/2 FINAL REPORT which will be signed by all three partners prior to the semester end. Further information about the final will be available toward the semester end.
