Boule

Players have two balls and the aim of the game is to get closest to a small wooden ball known as the jack or kitty. For every ball closest the competitor receives a point a total of four points will see you heading into the next round at the expense of your competitor.  The competition is run on a straight knockout basis.  This is a key event as getting points on the board enables you mount a challenge for the big prize.
Pistol Shooting

In this event players get five shots at a Swiss Military Target, with their best three efforts counting as their score. If two players score the same amount then the player with the most "five" scores will be placed ahead of their competitor, if there are no "five" scores then the most "four" scores and so forth.
The competitors shoot in reverse order of the current overall standings.
Golf Chipping

This is effectively a nearest the pin competition. Competitors have five single shot attempts at chipping a golf ball nearest to the pin. The player who gets nearest to the pin will be declared the winner. Competitors go in reverse order of the current overall standings. This event is turning into a key event as the winner of the '05 & '06 TIC's have both won the Golf on their way to the Cup.
Standing Jump

This event is like the long jump but the athlete has no run up and they must land two footed and remain upright, A double movement of the foot on landing is a foul jump.
You either love or hate this event and the results have fluctuated as the handicap system has been refined, the 2006 system favoured the smaller athletes and after a formal protest from "The German" the handicap system was adjusted for 2007 and will remain for 2008.
Four Metre Sprint

The blue riband event of the TIC. This is exactly the same as the 100m but shorter.
Athletes are drawn into heats just like the olympics with the winners progressing thorugh quarters, semis and onto the Final. Nerves of steel and a lighting start are key if you are to have any success in this event.
