Martirossian sings Colline's farewell to his overcoat handsomely. Peter Strummer turns in a pair of capable comic turns, as an abused landlord and as Musetta's hapless date./ Review

Tajo, had a narrow escape when the company toured to Bakersfield, near Los Angeles, and the shade of a stage light fell on his head during the second act of Boheme. The theater was new and apparently not performance-worthy, when the opera took the stage. Colin Harvey, who was playing a waiter, heard a pop as he opened the bottle of Champagne for Baccaloni, the Alcindoro. But the cork was still firmly in the bottle after the pop. What he had heard was the impact of the fixture on Tajos head. Tajo continued singing through the act and there were no serious consequences. But at intermission time it was discovered that the instrument had cut full through his wig./ pg 104- 1922-1978 SFO-Bloofield

Bass Oren Gradus sang a dignified Colline. His farewell to his overcoat before selling it to help Mim was masterful. He didnt just stare at its tatters (Vecchia zimarra), but paid a loving tribute to its pockets, which were like peaceful caves for philosophers and poets (tranquilli filosofi e poeti)./ SFCV
