Shanghai Knights

Because I'm Chinese, I can't help but wonder out loud why foreigners always pronounce "Shanghai" wrong. Oh well. Once again Ebert & Roeper have given another film "Two Thumbs Up!", I wonder how many films have gotten that this year. Now to the review. Shanghai Knights was poised to be the sequel to Shanghai Noon. This time around, both are in a foreign land, England. Ha! Imagine that, a Chinaman and an American cowboy in the UK! This time around, they are also taking on a bigger enemy, one who is trying to take over England and her empire. Along with the new things introduced in this sequel is the introduction of Jackie Chan's sister, played by hot, and full Chinese girl from Singapore, Fann Wong. As usual, Owen Wilson has cast hsi eyes on another vulnerable girl. Too bad, though, cause they're end up too busy, in the mission to save an empire. After watching this movie, you could dubb it a "comic kung fu colossus!", like I just did, or you could say it was, "Rousing! One of Jackie Chan's Best!", like Elvis Mitchell from the New York Times did. Rousing? I don't know where that came from, but whatever. The point I'm trying to make is that like all Jackie Chan movies, this one is just like the rest of them, and fairly predictable too. However, this should not discourage you from seeing this movie! Enjoy this movie with my rating of:
