Oh yes! Or as you could also put it, oh no! Whatever the reaction, there is a new superhero flick in town. I could swear this sets a record for most superhero movies in 3 years, and I think all have been by Marvel Comic Movies, or something like that. I think they are currently trading @ $16.00 on the New York stock exchange. Personally, I don't mind superhero flicks, but I swear, this one is nothing special. Ben Affleck stars as a blind crimefighter, all the while an ordinary citizen when the sun is up, although that would be a long time in the Arctic summer. Other notable characters include Electra, who fights in high heels, and Bullseye, who looks like he came from the set of Stargate SG-1, and Kingpin, who wears all white suits, but on the free poster you get, wears a blue suit. In his costume, Mr. Affleck does actually look blind, although one could argue that he could be mistaken as a stuffed animal. I've never read the comic, so I can't tell you if the screen version is better. Ebert & Roeper give it "Two Thumbs UP!" Anyhow, I give it a rating of:
