Miss Teen Kick-Off Party 2004

Date:
Place: Far East Cafe in Chinatown
Reflections: The Miss Teen Kick-Off Party was a blast! A few of the Leo's went and got a free meal along with great entertainment; we watched as the Miss Teen contestants played musical chairs and cheered each of them on. We were able to dance, sing karaoke, and meet many of the Miss Teen contestants. This was just a taste of what the pageant will be like. Be sure to attend!

Thirteenth Annual Charity Ball

Date: February 21, 2004
Place: Crowne Plaza on Bush and Sutter
Reflections: Charity Ball was so much fun! Many of the Leo's came early to help with the decorations, and the room turned out beautiful. Afterwards, we all got dressed and helped each other with hair and makeup. Everyone looked gorgeous! Thank you to Michael Chan for taking so many pictures for us. Hope everyone had fun!

8th Annual Dragon Boat Festival

Date: September 27, 2003
Place: Lake Merced
Reflections: The Leos paddled in this event. Although we had to wake up early in the morning and the weather was freezing cold, we paddled with all our might, and made it to the finals. Everyone that was at the Dragon Boat Race really bonded; not only did we have a good time, we also came in first in the Novice E Division! Go Leos!
And thank you so much to everyone that provided us with food and encouragement.

Miss Teen Kick-Off Party 2003

Date: March 7, 2003
Place: Far East Cafe in Chinatown
Reflections: Some of the Leos came to sit in and watch the show while getting a free meal along with it! Contestants played multiple games including limbo (we cheered for our very own Leo Deanna Fong) and had a chance to learn how to do a type of dance. After the 9-course meal, there was an open floor for both the teenagers and the parents to dance. Now after seeing all the contestants, there isn't anything better to do than go to the actual Miss Teen Pageant on April 19. Keep checking back for updates!

Charity Ball 2003

Date: February 22, 2003
Place: Downtown San Francisco Marriott, 55 Fourth Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
Reflections: After a lot of hard work from the committees, Charity Ball was a great success! Decorations were beautiful! There were glass vases with roses and swimming fish for centerpieces, and gifts including bandanas, badges, and chocolate cigars for the guys, and candles and chocolate "potpourri" for the ladies. In the raffle drawing, almost all (or quite possibly ALL) winners were Lions. Congratulations to them! There was a lot of mingling, eating, and dancing. What a great time!

Student Speaker Contest

Date: January 9, 2003
Place: Far East Cafe in Chinatown
Reflections: With the help of some Leo Members, the contest was a success with amazing speeches from the contestants. Check out the pictures in the photos section.

7th Annual Dragon Boat Festival

Reflections: Leos & New Century Lions paddled & raced at this event. Those who came enjoyed NC Lion President Chef Richard's culinary skills during the BBQ. Yummy!! Many thanks to original Leo James Chan, NC Lions Dennis & Kam for making this event possible!

Reflections: Both LEOs Club volunteers and Lions went to support White Cane Day. Miss Charity Teresa Chee was most effective in fundraising. Our San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, Supervisor Leland Yee, Chief of Police, and other supporters all stopped by the Lions booth.
