A few of the Leo's went and got a free meal along with great entertainment; we watched as the Miss Teen contestants played musical chairs and cheered each of them on. We were able to dance, sing karaoke, and meet many of the Miss Teen contestants. This was just a taste of what the pageant will be like. Be sure to attend! |

Although we had to wake up early in the morning and the weather was freezing cold, we paddled with all our might, and made it to the finals. Everyone that was at the Dragon Boat Race really bonded; not only did we have a good time, we also came in first in the Novice E Division! Go Leos! And thank you so much to everyone that provided us with food and encouragement. |
| Miss Teen Kick-Off Party 2003
Date: March 7, 2003 Place: Far East Cafe in Chinatown Reflections: Some of the Leos came to sit in and watch the show while getting a free meal along with it! Contestants played multiple games including limbo (we cheered for our very own Leo Deanna Fong) and had a chance to learn how to do a type of dance. After the 9-course meal, there was an open floor for both the teenagers and the parents to dance. Now after seeing all the contestants, there isn't anything better to do than go to the actual Miss Teen Pageant on April 19. Keep checking back for updates! |

There were glass vases with roses and swimming fish for centerpieces, and gifts including bandanas, badges, and chocolate cigars for the guys, and candles and chocolate "potpourri" for the ladies. In the raffle drawing, almost all (or quite possibly ALL) winners were Lions. Congratulations to them! There was a lot of mingling, eating, and dancing. What a great time! |
