Italia
I think this is probably one of the pictures best at capturing the tone of much of my three month stay in Italy with Sorayya. If the old cliche' is true after all, I don't think I need to say anymore.
This is Signora Stillitano, myself and the head of Sharon (as in Stone) the blind, infirm dog in the apartment in Rome.
This is the Foro Romano, which, although quite beautiful, is mainly the home of thousands of wild cats. Hey, at least it's serving some use these days.
This is an ancient amphitheatre in Pompeii. In the middle there, with her hand on her hip is Sorayya waving at me.
Guess who? And I'm not overly ecstatic about being in a huge, stone city in the middle of a southern Italian summer. Oh, those are our Scottish friends we met on a bus at Napoli Centrale.
