| This section explains why you conducted the laboratory activity/experiment. You must discuss and explain the problem or question you attempted to solve or answer by conducting the activity/experiment. Also, be sure you include the objectives of this activity/experiment. (14 points) |
| This section discusses and explains the problem presented in the purspose section. You must provide detailed background information about the activity/experiment topic. This section of the laboratory report is important because it gives readers enough information so they can understand what was done and why it was done. (20 points) |
| This section summarizes the steps taken to conduct the laboratory experiment/activity. Readers of the laboratory report must be able to duplicate the experiment/activity after reading this section. Therefore, it is important for you to discuss all materials and instruments used during the experiment/activity. (13 points) |
| This section includes all data collected and recorded, as well as any graphical representation or analyses of data. You will gather the majority of the information included in this section of the laboratory report while conducting the experiment/activity. (25 points) |
| This section discusses whether the data supported the purpose of the activity/experiment. You should provide specific examples from the data to either support or refute the question. This section must also include some information to demonstrate that you understand the objectives of the activity/experiment. In addition, you should discuss any improvements/alterations in laboratory procedures that might lead to more definitive results. (25 points) |
