Platoon 2091
The date and time is wrong on this picture. This was
taken in late September 1998 while he was on leave,
just after basic training at Camp Pendleton, CA.
This is a picture of Walter with his friend, Maria
Bonilla, it was taken in August of 1999.
In 1991 Walter's Grandpa Harbison passed away from cancer,
the summer before his Grandpa passed away Walter had gotten
close to him. Walter would go up and help his Grandpa do
yard work, and while they were working Grandpa and Walter
would talk.
When Walter was home for a visit in August of 1999 he
wanted to put flowers out on his Grandpa Harbisons grave.
Walter left Camp Pendleton 1-18-2000, he is now with the
15th MEU. He is stationed on the USS Denver. He will be
seeing the sights. The first stop was in Hawaii where he
was to train, but instead of training he had to have his
wisdom teeth pulled. His next stop is East Timor,
Australia, Singapore, Thailand and the Persian Gulf. This
will take him up to April, unless things change. If you
