Ryan's Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Harbison.

Warren age 5

At the age of nine, Warren was in the third grade. He said, his teacher started asking him for answers to her questions. And, he thought that if she had to ask him, a little kid, for answers, then there wasn't much point of staying in school. So, he quit school, left home and started out on his own.

He worked at odd jobs to make a living, and at the age of sixteen, he went to work on the farm of Fred and Lucille Lawson, who raised him as one of their own. After leaving the Lawson's, he went to work for the Civillan Conservation Corp., or (CCC). From there, at around the age of nineteen, Warren went to work for the Rock Island Railroad, as a Carman. On September 28, 1942 he entered the United States Army Air Force.

On Sunday, May 28, 1944 Warren married Mary Jones in a ceremony held at the home of his sister Myrtle Compton, in Oklahoma.

Shortly after that, the Army sent Warren to India where he served as a Supply Technician. Receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Warren was honorably discharged from service as a Staff Sergeant on February 1, 1946.

Returning to Oklahoma, to Mary and Mary Ann, whom was born while he was overseas, Warren went back to work for the Rock Island Railroad. And to supplement the family income, he worked on an Interurban street car.

On July 7, 1948 Warren, Mary and Mary Ann arrived in Seattle from El Reno, Oklahoma just to visit Warren's sister and her husband. On July 20, Warren went to work for Boeing in Seattle. At Boeing he worked on projects such as The B-52 Bomber, The BOMARC (U.S. Surface to Air Missle), The Minuteman (ICBM MISSLE), The Luner Orbiter, The SRAM (Sort Range Air Missle) and The E-3A AWACS RADOME.

Joining the family on Oct. 20, 1948 was Renetta Lousie, Sondra Faye on Sept. 2, 1954. Later on they adopted two children J.B. (b)June 8, 1965 and Carmen Lorraine (b)Dec. 13, 1966.

Studing on his own through Correspondence Courses, he continued his education, which helped him to beome a lead and then a supervisor. Both positions he held for most of his career at Boeing.

Warren's interest in life focused on God, Family and Patriotism. Believing in standing up for his country and defending her. The only organization that he really took an interest in was the V.F.W., becasue these were people who had fought for their country.

But his greatest love, and joy was studing the word of God.

October 3, 1991 Warren B. Harbison lost his battle with cancer, he is missed by all that knew him and most of all he will be missed by his Great Grandson Ryan Dee Dow, he will only hear stories of his Great Grandpa.
