Ryu

According to SF lore, this young orphan was left in the care of the martial artist named gouken.  For many years he trained and learned the honors and disciplins of Shotokan Karatae.  During the years he trained with gouken, he befriended a young american boy by the name of Ken Masters.  What he did not know was that he had gained a life long friend ans competitor.  One year in the fall

during a training session with there master Gouken,  Akuma appeared and killed Gouken by throwing him over a waterfall.  Rumors say that Gouken is still alive, but just waiting for the right time to show himself.      During the first SF tournament, Ryu reinged champion over sagat, who now has a scar across his chest from ryu's shoryuken.  After this Sagat lost all honor and began seeking revenge on the young ryu.      Some day there will be an epic battle between Akuma and Ryu, but Akuma refuses to fight Ryu until he has taped into his full potential.  Otherwise know as Evil Ryu.  There is only one thing certain about this, and that is only one of them will survive.      Unlike Ken, Ryu's only purpose is to fight and become more powerful.  He Uses slower, yet more powerfull attacks, where as Ken uses weaker but larger combonations of moves strung together.
