SueB's James Spader Photo/Video Gallery
There are many galleries on the web dedicated to the brilliant and hugely
underappreciated actor James Spader. This is another one!! Whether you have
followed his career since the early days or if you've only discovered him
recently on television, I'm sure you'll agree - there simply cannot be too
many pictures of the man. The photos and videos here focus on some of
his lesser-known films as well as his current work on the show "Boston Legal".
Films
Only the most fanatical Spader addicts have all of these films in their collections
either because James appears only briefly, or the film is not readily available, or
because it's just not a great movie.
- Cocaine: One Man's Seduction (1983) - see a VERY young, thin and bare-chested Spader
steal the scene from seasoned TV veteran Dennis Weaver in this short clip from
the early-80s made-for-TV drama.

- Wall Street (1987) - Spader was tragically underused in this film. In his review of the
film when it was released, Roger Ebert stated he would have preferred to see James in the role of instead
of Bud Fox rather than Charlie Sheen. We can only dream of what might have been.

- The Rachel Papers (1989) - Another film in which James was sadly underused, this was the
last film he made before becoming a true leading man with the release of "Sex, Lies and Videotape"
later in the same year. Notice how he does the job of making us dislike his character just with his action and expressions, without doing or saying anything particularly "bad".

- Shadow of Fear (2004) - This is Spader's most recent movie, a film which skipped
theatrical release and went straight to DVD. The movie was filmed in Spokane in the summer of 2003, just
before he began work on Season 8 of "The Practice". His parts in the movie were all shot in one week. Though
not one of his best films, many fans like this scene with actress Robin Tunney. Some Spader observers think
the man walking away at the end of the scene is a stand-in.
