Well, my aunt had her surgery today, and she is doing very well. I think she is going to be in the hospital for 2 nights, which sucks as far as I'm concerned. Of course, for me, staying in the hospital was pure hell :-) Maybe she will enjoy it more than I did.
This evening was the first time that I ate so much that I threw up (since my surgery). Actually, I didn't eat too much; I just broke one of the rules by drinking right after eating. I haven't, yet, been able to make myself not drink for 30 minutes after eating, which is what I'm supposed to do. I usually try to make sure to leave enough room in my stomach for a sip or 2 of something b/c I don't like having the food tastes in my mouth for so long. Anyways, I cooked myself breakfast for dinner: 1/2 slice of cheese toast, 1/2 slice regular toast, and a fried egg (no, I can't eat that much, but I haven't figured out how to get my portions any smaller). After eating my fill of the food, I got the desire for a sip of milk. W/o even thinking, I took a big gulp of milk from the carton. BIG MISTAKE! I had to rush to the kitchen sink. I managed to throw up just enough to make my stomach not so uncomfortable, but I still felt ucky. Taking a hot bath helped a lot, though. I guess I need to work harder at not eating and drinking at the same time. |
