1989-90 Summary
  In the 1989-90 season, St. Francis finished with a 6-14 record (6-10 conf., 0-4 non-conf.).  The Mariners finished tied for 6th place in the Parkland Conference with West Milwaukee.  Leading the way for the Mariners was Jessy Herbst, by scoring 166 points and blocking 10 shots in the regular season.  Coach Polasek reached the 100 career win mark, by defeating Slinger at home in the last conference game, by a score of 54-15.  The Mariners then defeated East Troy (49-48) and conference rival West Milwaukee (46-32) to advance to the regional final matchup versus Waterford.  In going for their 5th regional championship, the Mariners fell short, losing by a score of 37-69.
   The Mariners were led by the efforts of Jessy Herbst, Dina Guglielmi, Laura Martin, Gail Kaminski, Rachel Swick, Sarah Michalski, Liz Roepke, Shannon Walters, Renee Meyer, and Penny Schmidt.
