1979-80 Summary
  The 1979-80 season was a big turn around for Coach Polasek and the Mariners, going from a previous conference record of 4-12, to being 3rd place in the Parkland Conference with a record of 11-5.  St. Francis outscored their season opponents 855-680, led by Sharon Romel's 317 points, Terry Kender's 188 points, and by Lynn Dusold's 135 points.  In rebounds, Terry Kender led with 127, with Lynn Dusold in a close second with 124, Romel contributed 97 boards, as well as 76 from Matusinec and 69 from Laskowski.
   The Mariners were led by: Seniors Janet Griffin, Terry Kender, Sue Laskowski, and Cindy Susedik;
Juniors Karen Bronstad and Sharon Romel; Sophomores Kim Brauner and Carol Matusinec; as well as Freshmen Kelley Derrick and Lynn Dusold.
