If you do not love working in tight places then get a Mooney or some other plane that is easy to work on.
When you remove the plunger here is what you see. Be certain to measure this gap.
You can use a stylus to measure the gap.
This fish smelling fluid was in my brake system. Any idea what it is?

It is just old fluid. Flush the system and change it to new hydro fluid. The fluid changes color with age and moisture. The brake calipers are aluminum rather than stainless bores and will corrode with time and bad fluid. Changing the O rings will help. Best to have stainless sleeves installed.

I ran the standard aluminum bores for about 10 years with no problems. However, I had plans for new calipers or to have the old calipers sleeved with stainless.
