I met Manfred Knopf in Lakeland Florida at the Sun and Fun Fly in in 1998. He told me he had just bought a SF260 for $100,000. Three years later the pilot who flew the plane from Arizona to California told me that during the ferry flight he could not get the gear up and the transponder shorted out and caused an electrical fire.

I had given Manfred my web site address but he never contacted me for parts or advice.
