When I started this site, I had no idea what I was doing,well, actually I still don't!! But I am learning. I was going to do two pages, when I got to page 12, I still had a few things to share so decided the number 13 was a good ending. I am of Scottish heritage and belong to a clan dating pre-13th century. So I attend a lot of Highland games and Celtic festivals. It is there that I discovered Seven Nations, the best celtic/rock fusion band in the world!!! I now try to go anywhere they are playing. 1 pinch of rosemary
2 teaspoons of black tea
3 pinches of thyme
3 pinches nutmeg
3 fresh mint leaves
6 fresh red rose petals
6 lemon leaves
3 cups pure spring water
sugar or honey to sweeten to taste!
Boil spring water, add all ingredients and brew, best done on a Friday, during the waxing moon.
Before drinking, recite this magickal verse:
BY LIGHT OF MOON WAXING
I BREW THIS TEA
TO MAKE------------ DESIRE ME.
Drink some tea and say:
GODDESS OF LOVE
HEAR NOW MY PLEA
LET----------- DESIRE ME!
SO MOTE IT BE

On the following Friday, brew tea again and share with person you desire,

Sit in a comfortable position, preferably in bed, and face your partner. Each of you close your eyes and inhale deeply, now slowly exhale all your tension. Relax and keep your eyes closed, think of all the things that you love about your partner. If it is a new relationship, visualize all the dreams for your future together and picture yourselves very happy. If you are renewing your bond, think and visualize all the happy, loving times you have shared. and picture yourselves falling in love over and over again.
Now, open your eyes and gaze into each others. It is important to really look at the other person, as if you are seeing them for the first time!

My husband Neil and I were married in a traditional ceremony on May Day in 1998. We then handfasted in Wiccan tradition the following evening. That was the really fun ceremony, they tied us to the maypole and all the guests wrapped ribbons around us, then left us there!!! We had been drinking Damiana wine, so it did not take long for us to free ourselves!!! I believe we will make it a tradition to renew our bond using the above ritual each May Day. |
