Featherweight next to the PennCrest Model P-1. The P-1
weighs about the same as a fully loaded featherweight in case.
All metal exterior construction, the flaps are held in place
by magnets. The "Flower Power" end panels scream
1970's.
| The sewing mechanism locks for
transport when the right spool pin is lowered. It
has straight, zig-zag, and reverse capability.
Presser foot pressure is preset. Vertical
mount bobbin case differs from the lotus' horizontal
drop-in placement. The machine top is stationary and does not contain a built in accessory tray. Gears are a mix of metal and
plastic. Overall quality is quite good, but definately not a Lotus. |
