Woodland Park Zoo 2007

We always start our trip to the zoo at the south entrance, where the African Savanah Exhibit is. Today we got some great pictures of the zebras, gazelles, ostrich and giraffes.

Its such a wonderful day to sit in the sun.

Even the baby giraffes were out to enjoy the weather.

On our way past the savanah we stop to see the hippo staying cool in the water.

Next were the lions taking a nap on the warm rocks. The male had been making some noise just before we got there.

Next we walked over to the Northwest Trail area. Trysta tried to get a good shot of the otters but they were moving way too fast.

We love to visit the apes. This orangatan found a burlap sack to play with.

Scott took a break on a bench with some raven statues.

Next, it was off to Australia. The wallaroos are so cute. Trysta took this picture.

After walking around with the sack for a while, the orangatan hid behind a tree and put the sack over his head. "You can't see me!"

Can't forget to stop and see the penguins before we go to the butterfluy house.

The Kookaberras were out and posing for pictures.

Next on our walk was the beautiful snow leopard. This picture is one Scott took.

The butterfly house was our last stop before lunch. I was able to get some beautiful pictures of the butterflies and moths.

The butterflies and moths seemed like they were posing for us.
