Heading To The Observatory

HeronWhat an amazing thing to find in the middle of the desert.

VastnessThis is up by the caves, looking down over the valley. See those white things in the sky, those are clouds. lol Scott said this was considered a "cloudy" day by New Mexico standards.

BuffaloWhen in places like Texas, its nice to take pictures of the local creatures. Of course, this buffalo was with a herd of cows on someones land. LOL

Highest SignKimber thought this was an interesting sign. Its also a great view.

ObservatoryThis is the Hobby-Eberly Observatory. The primary mirror of the HET is the largest yet constructed, at 11.1 x 9.8 meters. While this one isn't open to the public, its impressive to see the observatory.

Observatory 2This is another view of the Hobby-Eberly Observatory. It stands by itself at the top of this long, winding road.
