Hiking up the trail.Its about a 45 minute hike up the trail to the cave entrance. Scott and Kimber did it in about 30 minutes.

Entrance to the Cave

Finally, the entrance to the cave! Time to look inside.

Kimber goofing off.Kimber is pointing to the sign at the entrance to the caves. The gate is there to protect the cave from unscheduled visitors or people who would destroy the cave.

Clansman FormationThis is one of the large formations in the Slaughter Canyon Cave. Its called the Clansman. The white covering of the rock is called flowstone which is made out of minerals carried and deposited by the water dripping over the rocks.

Fossil by the pathScott spotted this fossil on the hike up the canyon.
