Irlen Syndrome

Trysta was recently tested for a little known disability called Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome, also known as Irlen Syndrome. SSS effects visual perception and is caused by a sensitivity to the color in light. It often goes unnoticed and undiagnosed until someone with knowledge about the disorder comes into contact with a person or family and recognizes the symptoms or a determined parent investigates enough to find information about it.

Here is a picture of how Trysta sees text without correction:

Correction for SSS involves the use of colored filters or lenses. These filter out the color that causes the problem and gets rid of the distortions.
