BLANKETS
This page will be dedicated to the work we do with the blanket part of the Sewing4Jesus Ministry. We have been working With Project Linus since March of 1999, and we have also given blankets on our own to MUSC Hospital. We also give out blankets to our home bound in the church.
Since 1999, the total number of blankets we have given out to the needy and the homebound is 341.

At the June 2000 meeting of WMU, Melissa Johnson, the Project Linus Co-ordinator for the Charleston SC area came and gave a talk about Project Linus so that we could be more informed as to how the organization worked. The Sewing4Jeus Ministry presented her with 31 blankets at this time. Melissa gave us some ideas on how to involve the children of our church in this ministry as well.

The quilt to the left was made possible through the efforts of the Mission Kids and Mission Friends groups. They drew pictures with special crayons, and the pictures were then ironed onto the squares, and one of the ladies made it into a quilt which was given to the Project Linus co-ordinator to add to the blankets being given out.
Above and below are some quilts made for a homebound person.
