Crewel Embroidery gets its name from the crewel yarn. This is a 2-ply wool. It comes in many shades of each color. These shadings give crewel embroidery it's lovely soft look. |
On the following pages you'll see my Crewel embroidery designs. They were originally drawn to be hand stitched. Now I have redrawn them and rescaled them for our embroidery machines. |
