LAP IV: Scripts

Rationale: Three of the most popular mediums of entertainment today rely heavily on scripts: movies, television shows, and theatrical productions. A script is an uninterrupted monologue or dialogue interspersed with the occasional description, significant action, setting shift, or authorial tip designed to enhance the narrative or offer stage direction. On this LAP, it is my hope that students will compose and film a unique script in a dynamic collaborative process.

Objectives: By the end of this LAP you will:

A) Organize an inventory binder to begin assembling your own thoughts and

interests in terms of creative writing.

B) Identify the essential components and conventions of scriptwriting.

C) Demonstrate the capacity to work with a group on a creative endeavor.

D) Compose and revise a collaborative short film.

E) Continue to post writings on your blog!
