When Rabbit Howls by the Troops for Truddi Chase
This is the autobiography of the Troops for Truddi Chase. It does not result in intergration, but is rather the story of how they learned of eachother and how to cooperate. This is a favorite of ours. We highly recommend it. We especially love how the Troops get even with their abuser. We thought it was a brilliant solution, and showed the truly passive agression we have seen in multiples far more than the cliched buried violence typically portrayed. This story was made into a TV film called Voices Within. If you have a copy of this, please contact us.

First Person Plural by Cameron West

This is another non-integration autobiography, this time having the advantage of being from the point of view of a multiple and a psychiatric professional at the same time. We read it a long time ago and it was read primarially by someone no longer an active file here in Krystale. It was a comforting read, and is highly recommended.

Multiple Personality Disorder from the Inside Out edited and published by Sidran Press
This is a massive collection of short prose, poetry and art by multiples and their loved ones for multiples and their loved ones. It is impossible not to find something in this book you can relate to or enjoy no matter who you are. For the out multiple we would highly recommend this for the coffee table, as every piece is short enough for a quick read. It also is a great book to give to those friends who never seem to tackle the longer ones. Our system highlighted favorite passages and made a seperate index of our own in blank pages at the back of the book. It makes for a handy reference if we wish to pinpoint something quick, or share with others what we relate to the most. We also confess to crossing out things we really disagreed with. Of significant interest to us was also an article for EMTs and Emergency Health Professionals which we would recommend copying and carrying in your wallet.

A Fractured Mind by Robert Oxnam
We havn't finished this yet. We concur with the review on Astraeas thus far.
Paige note: While other multiples have told us the beginning was dry and others claim that he was not a multiple, I believe both result from the fact he was boring old hard working "red blooded American" over achiever who succeeded. He was not the broken down cliche that sensationalized stories have lead so many to believe. If one makes sure to read the introduction much of this is simply stated. Though I have not finished yet I feel this to be a brilliant exercise in simple personal truth and exploration.
"If this book raises more questions than it answers, then we will consider it a success, as long as the questions are more sophisticated by the end of the book than they were at the beginning." (Hardcover pg. 4)
