Cafe Purgatory Cafe Purgatory (On AOL Only) The first Cafe Purgatory was a night club resting on the far end of West Berlin Germany. The second was built on the outer edges of Cairo's industrial district. It is a massive building two stories once a ware-house that has been reconditioned into its glory of the night scene The title to both establishments are owned under Seventh Circle Enterprises, registered as joint venture of husband & wife, Dr. Isabel Aureo, and Essex Midnight. Both establishments are, at least on the inside, entirely identical to one another in every way. Outside Description: While looking at the club from the outside the building is set with a alley all the way Around the sides and back of the building, the building's sign has been replaced with a networking of dark violet and royal blue flames set to flicker along a metal framework in spelling "Cafe Purgatory" with a familiar forwarning etched in neon blacklight "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here". The billboard remains, however, on each side of the door telling the week end band Schedules and events. A long stretch of plum carpeting invites the evening's customers to claim their space before the imposing doors of black antiquated wrought iron work and burnt steel, the stretch roped off with black velour bindings and two very large bouncers standing there in watch of the crowds. They let the customers in as other customers leave. The bouncers often do and will take bribes no matter the socio-economic status of the current clientele aseveryone must wait their placement in Purgatory after all, so it might be wise to assure the gatekeeper evening entrance with a monetary donation. Interior Description (lower Floor) As you walk in your senses are immediately gone into shock, Flashing strobe lights Black lights and color lights rain down from a thousand different directions. Music Fills the building on a million dollar sound system. From the wall that curves from the stage to either side of the dance floor, a floritine mural depection of "The Dark Wood of Purgatory" enshrouds the backdrop of the club's theme. In showing scenes of pleasured pain from scantly garbed couples and groups that have otherwise thought they have found privacy from the eyes of others among the gnarled and twisted flora and fauna. A quote in Italian reads: "As far as one can get from Beelzebub, in the remotest corner of this cavern, there is a place one cannot find by sight..." The bar rests along a entire wall it has a giant 8 foot long 4 foot tall fish tank behind it that is filled with Salt water fish that gives a window view in and out of the owners office. When thick billows of plum velor curtains are found parted, the view beyond reveals a merge of antiquated clutter and spartain modernity to hint towards the tastes of the owners. Two mahogeny desks kept to either side of the office and facing each other with the arch of the scheme completed with a masterwork of two, perhaps very familiar, entities. In a age worn gilded frame a cityscape rises from fallen archs and ruins scattered before them, to backdrop its figures caught within an embrace with only the close press of flesh to flesh providing modisty where the absence of clothing otherwise could not. Down past their painted and intertwined feet and returning to the design of the office rests soft couches accented with an eclectice collection of pillows heaped, and the very same kept to the corners piled so as to provide seating all of their own. Beyond the privacy of the office the very same fashion of seating rests between the bar and the dance floor in the form of horse shoe shaped couches around small tables and stool and upraised tables. Bathrooms are located near each set of doors they are Unisex bathrooms. Interior Description (second floor balcony) The balcony can be reached by two sets of stairs one on each end of the club, the VIP area resides just beyond the common balcony and is not so easily entered without the consent of the guards or the owners of the establishment. One may find that bribery here is not so easily paid in cash, yet still may cost dearly. The balcony rings the entire club and gives a birds eye view of whats going on below. The Same couch seating areas are placed up there as down below there are also pool tables And dart boards up for game activities. The VIP room is a long, rectangular room with a low ceiling. A large, mahogany door guards it's entrance, with a usual compliment of 1 or 2 bouncers standing guard, depending on the guest for the evening. The room itself is lined on three walls, all except the one containing the door, with black velour couches. Round corners carry it in a U shape around the entire room. A 2x3 slat of black granite rests low to the floor to the right hand side of the door - a platform for shoes to be removed and placed upon, so as not to damage the violet velvet carpeting lining the floors of the room. A simple, very low to the ground, black lacquered table stretches the length of the couches to either side of it. It is lightweight, and easy to remove to elsewhere should need arise. The walls are painted black, save a ring of deep grey stormclouds painted on the walls just above the back of the couch, and ringing the entire room. The lighting is provided by the ceiling, which while coated with a shiny black substance, bares tiny lights accurately resembling the night sky over Berlin, and giving just enough light to the room so as not to be blind within it's walls. Speakers are well hidden ans positioned in every corner of the room so as to provide a wash of whatever music is playing on the dance floor below, though at a considerably lower volume. The implication of this room is that those who dwell within are Celestial, and therefore above writhing in the Purgatory of the writhing hellbound masses below the room. Basement: The building does have a basement that is used for storage of the booze, ice machines Spare crates of glasses, cleaning closets, locker room for the staff both male and female And offices for the managers of security and wait staff. It also has a formal dressing room for the bands that come to play at the club these Dressing rooms have stairs that lead right up to the back of the stage. The old Bartender's office has been retrofitted with a reinforced wall and a steel door, with an electronic keycard lock system to keep it secure. Affectionately referred to as 'The Vault', only 2 keycards currently exist to the room, and are held by both of the clubs illustrious owners. The smallish room inside resembles a bomb shelter more than anything else. Drab concrete walls are broken with a row of shelves along the wall opposite the door, containing boxes of ammunition, and illegal weaponry of all sorts, provided by the black market ties of one of the club owner's human retainers. 2 Army surplus cots are placed along either wall opposite the door, and a small drain that leads, after a long meandering pipe, to the stormdrain system, sits dead center in the floor of the room. Beside the door on the inside, is an override panel, that can lock the door from the inside at will, negating the use of a card from outside until the door is opened from the inside. Common Entertainment: Common and often exciting entertainment is of course the weekend big band bash That usually has a Headliner band with a opening local band that plays on Friday Saturday and Sunday nights. Also a group of six entertainers will go around the bar Selling Jello shots or body shots <Male & Female> there are also Ice Shots available That is usually set up with a ice sculpture of 2 winged angels, one male and one female, standing at each other's sides, unclothed, head tilted backward, mouth agape, with wings spread. The male stands on the left as you face them, with his right hand over his chest, and left arm extended, downward at an angle, with palm facing the table. The female stands on the right, with left hand between her breasts, right arm extended toward the male in the same fashion. Drinks (preferably red, or dyed with food coloring) are poured into the angel's mouths, to flow visibly through the body, and 'bleed' out through the wrists.. dripping off the ends of the fingertips and into the glass. Club Security: Infa-red Cameras are set up to view every inch of the club. For humans and those with normal Pulses or vampires that heat their blood spending BP they appear as Red blobs. For those vampires Who do not heat their blood or other things that have no body temp they appear as green blobs. There are also regular cameras set up beside each of the infa-red cameras. Bouncers on Duty 12 on lower floor 3 at the front door 5 in the upper balcony 2 that do rounds in the basement. All bouncers and management have ear pieces And mics that allow them to hear and speak to each other. There is a shot gun locked up in the managers offices, and beneath the bar and the Owners office. The Owners office takes a 8 digit code to enter because that's Where the safe is located the safe is a heavy duty expensive safe that has both a Key pad and combination lock the office is set up with motion sensors and lazors That if triggered will sound a silent alarm and notify the police department. The Alarm can be triggered manually by a push of a button located in the Security managers office, the owners office or the bar. |
