To get a fair amount of neopoint to start you off, you want to play easy games like Goldfish, and Chia Bomber. This should get you started. You can play every game three times a day so wait for your best scores before sending them.

The shop restock times are no longer standard. so good luck with them

You can buy Neggs for about 50NP each from the General Food Store, and they can be worth thousands. You can also get Easter neggs off the Easter bunny, which are random events; you can sell these for like 6000np.

When something new comes out, try and get as much as of it as possible put it out for sale right away. They go for much higher prices then. Of course, keep a couple of the items for yourself in the rare case the price actually goes higher. Also, know what you are buying. Many things sell in the Neopets stores for far more than you can sell them for.

The battle magic shop and defense magic shop are good places to find items that sell for over 100,000np wand of nova, wand of supernova, staffs, etc. But the chances of getting them or even seeing them are very small.

It is best to have your shop cycle quickly. Always price your items at least 10np under the lowest on the wizard. You want people to buy at your shop, not look but don’t leave it plain, if they like they it then they may come back. Also, when people know they will get a good deal at your shop, they bookmark it, tell their friends about it, and come back often.

Opening a bank account at the Neopian Bank gives a safety deposit box! This is very important because the pant devil can get items in there.

Play games everyday, easy games are Kiko Match, Kacheek Seek, Poogle Solitaire, Techo Says, Goldfish, and Carnival of Terror.

Open a store, this costs 250NP but if you run your store wisely and you can make lots of money. A key hint to running a successful store is to only sell items that are high in demand such as Faeries, Motes, Novas, Map Pieces, Nerkmids, Codestones, Doubloon Coins, paintbrushes etc. If you try and sell items bought from certain stores (unpopular merchandise such as snowballs and battle cards) that are not in demand then no one will visit your store and you will not make any NP.

Finding Items, every so often as you travel around the site you will find Map Pieces, Codestones, and Fearies. put these in your store and sell them.

When you are starting out DO NOT use Codestones, Faeries, Map Pieces or paintbrushes on your pet. These items are too expensive and when you are rich you can basically do whatever you want to your pet, but for now SELL these items for lots of neopoints.

Quests. DO NOT do quests for the The Snow Faerie; The Brain Tree etc. (unless they are asking for SUPER CHEAP items) only do Uber-Faerie quests (except earth faerie quests because she only feeds your pet ) when you are giving them a cheap item i.e. a lipstick for the Air Faerie. Most of these quests are just too expensive and you can do them as you wish when you have enough money. A good idea is to get a quest "buddy" or create a second account, because since you can not use the Shop Wizard when on a faerie quest it will usually be way overpriced if you buy the item from a big fancy store in the market place or at an official Neopian shop. Have your buddy send you the item or log into your other account and buy the item from the shop wizard there, then send the item to your main account.

Sometimes people will have map pieces, faeries, motes, paint brushes, nerkmids etc in their store for super low prices, try and buy these as soon as possible because many other people will be trying at the same time to get them and then sell them in your shop, this will make you lots of money. You always find bargains, sometimes people have codestones in their shop for 300NP or petpets for 200NP, neggs for 100NP or faeries for 1000np etc... You just have to look on the Shop Wizard and keep refreshing.

Be very careful about the Stock Markek it can go up or down at a moments notice.

NEVER give out your password. No member of the Neopets Staff will EVER ask you for it as they can already get into your account if they need to give you prizes etc. Do not be fooled by people sending you neomail saying that you have won a competition. Any TRUE competitions will be reported in the NEWS section of the front page. NEVER change your e-mail address in your profile if anyone tells you to as they will ask you to change it (to their address except they will give you a lame excuse for doing so AND you won't know its their address). Then if you change your address they can just go to the log-in page, put in your username and have YOUR password sent to their e-mail account and they will hack you! If you get neomail begging for items or np, just say no, remember you work hard for your items so you shouldn't feel sorry for people who don't (you could put neofriends only on in the neomail section, this stops non neofriends from mailing you). Never log-in on any page that does not have a Neopets URL (This means a Neopets address in the address bar), some unscrupulous people have been making fake log-in pages to get your username and password - don't fall for it. They sometimes use this trick by placing "fake items" in their stores with a link to a page where they have copied the real Neopets home. These types of scammers are usually found in the Chat Boards; as these "Fake Items" do not show up on the Shop Wizard, also they usually have large quantities of unbuyables in a size 1 or 2 "newbie" shop. In the chartrooms sometimes people say "oh, I made 20000NP with the NP duplicator" or some such garbage, then they give a web page address which takes you to a site asking you for your username and password

Change your password often. DO NOT make it something similar to or the same as your username, because Neopets made it so you can’t have things like “love, Neopets, ect.” Make it long and mixed password with a combination of numbers and letters (just don't make it so complicated so that you can not remember it) Also, make sure you keep up to date with the email address on your profile because if you ever get a new email account, and you forget your Neopets password, you can't get into your account because the "forgotten your password" will not work.

Wishing Well, make a wish daily everything from Faeries to Pea and Ham Baby Food to Unbuyables are given out there! Who knows maybe your wish will come true.

The Tyrannian Omelets. At the omelets, located in the Tyrannian Plateau you can grab a slice each day and either uses it to feed your pet OR if you get a rare piece like Tomato, Tomato and Pepper or Plain then you can sell it.

Also try the Wheel of Excitement in Faerieland. Although there can be negative repercussions to of the Wheel my experience with them has been favorable. You can win up to 10000NP on the Wheel of Excitement.

Coltzans shrine in the Lost Desert; goto the shrine once a day and you can get anything from more hit points for your pet, to a super rare item. There are rumors that you can even win 500,000np! Also, the fruit machine in the Lost Desert is good; you can win paint brushes etc. Although you don't win very often!
