The women put on a show that will be remembered forever. Highlight clips of this once in a lifetime match will circulate on youtube for years to come. Reminding us of the greatness we witnessed on this night.

There's only one problem though..... Julia lost.

Ascension was not the night Julia had dreamed about. It was not the night she thought she had worked so hard for. Instead, it turned into a complete nightmare as she watched Momo Wantanabe become the first ever Women's champion in WLCW. She retrieved the title, leaving the other women to wonder what might have been.

All four other contestants must get up off the mat and regroup... try to learn from the mistakes and get better.

That's all they can do.

[
Following Ascension]

Bruised and defeated, we find Julia Hart walking backstage. Griff is with her trying to console her after a heartbreaking defeat. She's wearing a pair of sweatpants and a pink under armor hoodie. Whatever he is saying, it's going in one ear and out the other. She's still shell shocked.

As they arrive at a turn in the hallway, they run smack dab into Josh Matthews!

JOSH MATTHEWS:
Julia, crushing defeat earlier tonight in the Queen of the Mountain ma---

Him bringing it up deflates her ego even more.

JULIA HART: Just wasn't my night. What else can I say?

JOSH MATTHEWS:
Just wondering what you though about the ending, in particular?

She snaps at him.

JULIA HART: I failed! Okay! Is that what you want to hear? I let Momo retrieve the belt. She wasn't the one that was supposed to walk away with the gold. It wasn't supposed to go down like that. Are you happy, Josh?

While she can rightfully shoulder some of the blame, it wasn't her fault alone. Good luck getting her to look at it that way, though.

JOSH MATTHEWS:
It was a great match, Julia. You proved a lot of the doubters wrong, even in defeat.

JULIA HART: They can say what they want about me, I went out there and I gave it my best shot! I walked away knowing that I did everything I possibly could to become champion. I was willing to do anything for that title.

She curls her upper lip, holding back tears as she tries to stay strong. She has to. For Griff.

JULIA HART: I still am willing to do anything for that title
..... Anything.

She practically pushes Josh out of the way and storms off..

GRIFF GARRISON: Nice job, dude!

He smacks Josh on the back of the head as we fade out.

Following Ascension, things have gone from bad to worse.

Brian continues his downward spiral, costing Griff another match on Eruption.

This was supposed to be an opportunity for Griff to pick up a much needed victory. Grab some momentum heading into the upcoming match on Vengeance he has with Julia Hart as his tag-team partner.

That's right, you heard it. We've gotten to this point. Brian is so unpredictable and unreliable, management is left with no choice but to book Julia Hart and Griff Garrison in a mix tag match.

That's where we are at.

[Crossing the border into Canada]

Their travel north hits a roadblock at the border as Griff and Julia are stuck waiting for clearance. Something went wrong with the documents WLCW supplied. They are sitting in a small lobby with about six or seven other individuals. Julia looks annoyed as she plays on her cell phone.

JULIA HART:
I can't believe this.

GRIFF GARRISON: P
aperwork bullshit... what can ya' do, though?

JULIA HART:
Not that.

She's reading about the Miss Nightmare 2022 contest, which got her to thinking about the upcoming match on Vengeance.

JULIA HART:
This match. I owe Cody and Brandi A LOT for getting my career started. Facing Brandi and big brother Dustin is a big deal, Griff.

GRIFF GARRISON:
I know it is.

JULIA HART:
I've got all the respect in the world for Brandi. She's a pioneer in this business. A role model for any woman that is interested in wrestling. Plus, look at what they've done already in WLCW! Cody is our very own world heavyweight champion!

Her excessive admiration for the Nightmare Family kind of rubs Griff the wrong way.

GRIFF GARRISON: Cody is a great representative of this company. There's no denying that. But, he's not involved in this match. You just put on a show at Ascension. Proved your one of the top talents in this company. I've still got the potential just haven't been catching the right breaks. I really like our chances.

JULIA HART:
This won't be easy, Griff.

GRIFF GARRISON: I'm not saying it will be.

JULIA HART:
Kind of sounds like you're underestimating these two. That will get you into trouble everytime.

GRIFF GARRISON:
Dustin is about ten years outdated, though.  His best buy date was sometime before the IPhone 4... Come on, Jules! WE HAVE TO WIN THIS MATCH!

He pauses to take a few deep breaths. His anxiety level is sky high as he is trying to navigate through this tough time.

GRIFF GARRISON:
Seriously! I just need to win a fucking match!

The guy sitting next to them in the jam packed lobby area lets out a chuckle. Griff gives him the stink eye.

JULIA HART: I know you do, that's why you can't look past these two.

GRIFF GARRISON:
Problem is, this whole situation with Brian and all of these losses is messing with my head! I need something positive to happen! All this negativity is killing all the positive vibes for me.

JULIA HART:
I've had a little talk with Mick Foley. He knows what is going on and is willing to help us out. Just let me and him take care of Brian, okay? He will get what is coming to him.... soon.

GRIFF GARRISON:  Every match I've lost has been because of him, Jules! I honestly want to kick his ass, right now!

The frustration level with Brian only grows every time he is talked about. These two are in uncharted territory. Never before has their group had to deal with an internal issue like this..

GRIFF GARRISON:
That's the problem, though. Catching him is just about impossible.

The both cannot help but nod at each other as we fade out.

[The night of Vengeance]

We're at the arena. It's fucking go time.

In the Blondes locker room, Griff is bouncing a tennis ball off the wall and catching it with one hand, alternating each time. He's leaned back up against a row of lockers.

Suddenly, Julia comes into the camera shot and grabs the tennis ball. She walks over to a trash can in the corner of the room and throws it away.

GRIFF GARRISON:
You want proof of my bad mojo?? Look at Matt Cardona. I mean, COME ON! Guy got served a direct route to the X-Division title on a silver platter! Who's ass is he kissing? Foley? Or maybe Chelsea is doing...

He does not get to go any further.

JULIA HART: Enough. That's enough.

GRIFF GARRISON:
I'm serious, Jules!

So is she.

JULIA HART:
Nobody cares about Matt Cardona... he's garbage. He will fail miserably as a champion just like he has everything else in life.

She's starting to show some signs of her old self. It took almost a solid week for her to finally shake off the defeat at Ascension. It could have broke her completely, but she didn't let it. She knows that her name will be called once more.

JULIA HART:
Worry about Brandi and Dustin, okay?

GRIFF GARRISON:
I'm just gonna let you do all the work. I mean, you're the superstar.

A friendly punch to Griff's arm followed by her grabbing him by one of his ears.

GRIFF GARRISON:
OWWWW!!! Okay... okay!!!

She finally lets go and his ear definitely paid the price. It's bright red as he cups his hand over it.

GRIFF GARRISON:
Damn!

JULIA HART: You've got something to prove, right?

He nods while still holding his ear.

JULIA HART:
Well, THEN ACT LIKE IT!

She rears back and swats him in the side of the face!! It catches him off guard so much that he stumbles backwards. Now his left cheek is cherry red to go along with his ear.

JULIA HART:
Quit crying about things you can't change, Griff! Take an opportunity and run with it.

The look on his face speaks to the power of her words. He trusts her and those words mean a whole lot coming from her. Plus you know, the slaps and ear pulls too. That helps also.

JULIA HART:
If I'm fighting Brandi and I hold my hand out... TAG YOURSELF IN! Don't worry about what might happen or what happened on Eruption. Just be yourself!

GRIFF GARRISON:
I get it.... I get it. You don't have to beat me up.

He starts to tape up one of his wrists.

GRIFF GARRISON:
Where did you get all this confidence?

JULIA HART:
You've just got to find it in yourself.

She pokes one finger into his chest as she climbs to her feet. The pressure from her finger creates a mark on his skin that goes away after a few seconds.

JULIA HART:
It's there. Only you can find it, though.

She skips out of the locker room.

Griff wants what she has. He does. The question is, can he find it?

Fade out.
