In one of the most memorable press conferences of all time, Herm Edwards once said....

'You play to win the game.'

Or in this case... the match... The Women's title... The respect of the entire locker room.

The buildup for this one is on a level that may never be matched again. The five most deserving women that WLCW has to offer. All putting their bodies on the line in a match that WILL change careers and lives. All knowing that this road.... this ladder only leads to ONE champion. The inaugural Women's champion.

If this match lives up to the hype. It truly will be stuff of legend. Period.

For Julia, it's plain and simple.

Winning is THE only option.

Anything less than that is just failure.

[The Academy (School of Professional Wrestling) - Minneapolis]  -Flashback to 2019

It's late 2019. All of the leaves have fallen from the trees, leaving behind hundreds of stick figures lined up and down both sides of County Road 109. As the camera swoops down the road and turns onto 85th Avenue, we see the not so extravagant location of the school.

Inside, a young newcomer is starting to catch on to some of the teachings. Three months into her conversion from full time cheerleader to wrestling hopeful and she's actually feeling like she made the right decision.

Her trainer, Ken Anderson, works with her in one of the rings inside the facility.

KEN ANDERSON: That's it, Julia!

She executes an arm drag takedown on Ken.

KEN ANDERSON: Perfect!

With his full support, she whips him into the ropes and he bounces off and comes at her with some momentum.

Awkwardly executed drop kick, but it connects! Ken rolls around on the mat, quite possible overexaggerating just a tiny bit. By the time he climbs to his feet, she is standing in the middle of the ring with the biggest smile on her face.

KEN ANDERSON: OUCH!

He rubs his jaw.

KEN ANDERSON: That's gonna leave a mark.

He offers up his hand for a high five and she willingly accepts, smacking hands with him.

KEN ANDERSON: Unbelievable work in the ring today.

JULIA HART:
Thanks.

KEN ANDERSON: I really like what I'm seeing.

The way he is staring at her, she's a bit startled and taken back.

KEN ANDERSON: Pardon me, don't take that the wrong way.

He's cornered himself a bit, but he smacks on the gum in his mouth to tries and play it off.

KEN ANDERSON: Look, all I'm saying is you've got a lot of untapped potential. I can see it with my own eyes. You are going to make a name for yourself in this business.

JULIA HART:
I don't want to get ahead of myself. I've still got a long ways to go. Just try to take it day by day, you know?

She's humble. She doesn't know any better.

KEN ANDERSON: The day is gonna come, Julia.

JULIA HART:
I hope you're right.

KEN ANDERSON: I am........ Trust me.

Fade out.

Is it possible those very words propelled Julia to this moment?

Ascension... Queen of the Mountain...  First ever WLCW Women's champion?

This might mean something..... it might not, who knows....

[
Smoothie King Center - New Orleans] -following Hart/Noa on Vengeance

This loss feels different. It served a purpose. It sent a message to Hikari Noa and the other three participants.

It was an opportunity to debunk all the naysayers who said she was going to be outclassed and overpowered by her opponents.

Proving once again she's not just some blonde, shy, innocent cheerleader. Seriously, get that out of your head already.

And with that, we find the lone female member of the Blondes walking down a dimly lit hallway. Rather than somberly drag herself to her locker room, Julia jumps into the camera and raises both her hands in the air.

JULIA HART: Hikari!

The look on her face?? The look of a VERY proud and confident woman. She willing accepted defeat in order to get the satisfaction of blasting Hikari in the face with the confetti cannon...

JULIA HART: How's the face?

She covers up one of her eyes, mocking Hikari.

JULIA HART: Did you actually think I was about to let you try some of your anime-murdo cartoon crap on me? Did you?

One finger shakes back and forth in front of the camera.

JULIA HART: OH NO!!! No way, girl! I've got my own ideas about how things are going to go, okay? And if you think for one second that I'm upset or something because I lost to you...

She arrogantly rolls her eyes.

JULIA HART: Yeah, about that... The real prize is at the top of the ladder at Ascension. We all know that, so lets not pretend that our last match means ANYTHING.

We get one last smile as she twirls and flips her hair up over her shoulder.

Fade out.

These women have started to bring out a different side of Julia. The quiet, shy Julia is being replaced by something much more dangerous.

If only they knew what they have done.

[
During travel from New Orleans to New York]

We've upgraded for this trip, as the three of the Blondes are traveling in a large SUV with an actual driver provided by WLCW.  It's dark and the headlights of the cars coming in the opposite direction look like flashes in the night sky. A sign alerts us to the upcoming exit onto the highway towards New York.

On two 12 inch tv screens on the back of the front seats, Julia and the boys watch footage from Vengeance during the Momo Wantanabe/Jamie Hayter main event.

JULIA HART: What is it with this Hayter chick? I think she really is on steroids. Look at her, she looks like a man!

Both of the boys chuckle.

GRIFF GARRISON: That ain't no joke. She'd kick my ass.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: You mean you'd let her kick your ass?

JULIA HART: How about I kick her ass?

She flexes which unfortunately makes the boys start laughing.

JULIA HART: What's so funny!?

She punches Griff in the arm..... he stops laughing.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Go get her, killer!

At this point in the footage, Momo and Jamie are both wielding chairs and getting a swift double disqualification from the referee. All three of the blondes look on as they've just watched these two women tear each other to shreds.

GRIFF GARRISON: That was one hell of a match.

JULIA HART: I still say what happened after was better.

Great timing as we see Julia appear from nowhere and push both Momo and Jamie off the stage, through a pair of tables and onto the concrete floor.

JULIA HART: Much better.

She skips through the next part, not wanting to revisit Hikari Noa and the sneak attack she delivered.

It's not that she refuses to accept it happened....... she just knows it's not going to happen again.

We now watch as Sasha Banks detaches the Women's Title and pulls it down, grasping it into her chest.

JULIA HART: That's gonna be me on Saturday. You just watch!

She motions like she's putting the belt around her waist.

JULIA HART: Women's champion.

Sasha is laughing as the cameras show the destruction that just occurred. All four other participants in the Queen of the Mountain match are shown scattered around the arena. One shot shows Julia unconscious.

JULIA HART: Hey, hey, hey! I've seen enough.

She proceeds to press the power button on both screens...

GRIFF GARRISON: Just remember what we've been talking about. Hayter and Watanabe are going to be at each others throat from the get go, there's no doubt about that. Those two almost killed each other in the ring, so that should just take care of itself. The key for you is going to be picking your spots and capitalizing. No doubt that Noa is going to looking at you, but if you can find a way to get her and Sasha tied up, that gives you a huge upper hand.

JULIA HART: Thanks for the advice. There's so many thoughts and emotions going through my body the past week. It's like a roller coaster!

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: We all just watch each others backs and carry our own weight.

Two out of three ain't bad, right? Julia rolls her eyes at Brian, who is completely oblivious to what he's actually 'doing'.

JULIA HART: Sure, some of these girls are stronger and have more experience... But, that doesn't mean I'm just going to lay down. I think a lot of my critics just don't think a ditzy blonde like myself can reach the top. They don't think I can carry the weight of the women's division on my shoulders.

GRIFF GARRISON: You're gonna do great. Just don't let them create a three, four on one situation. Use your athleticism to your advantage. When all else fails..... RUNNN!!

This brings a big smile to her face. Not so much because it's funny, rather because he's 100% right.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Hey man, can we stop at the next exit? I gotta take a leak.

JULIA HART: Really?

GRIFF GARRISON: Of course you do.

With all the built up frustration towards Brian, every little thing agitates both of them rather quickly.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: What? It's not good to hold it.

GRIFF GARRISON: This is the fourth time we've stopped in the last two hours!

The driver gets into the exit lane, but also gives a glare in the rear view mirror towards Brian. Everyone is pissed at him.

Fade out.

[Eruption 2/10/22 Episode] -following Hart/Pillman/Garrison 6man tag match

Sometimes all it takes is one victory to get things rolling in the right direction. Such may be the case for the Blondes as they were successful in their first ever 6-man tag (intergender) match in WLCW.  No thanks to Brian, though.... He almost cost them the match on multiple occasions. If it wasn't for Julia, surely he would have.......

The sound of victory is heard throughout the hallway as loud and boisterous Julia Hart leads the charge.

JULIA HART: LET'SSSS GOOOOO!!!!!

She claps her hands repeatedly.

JULIA HART: VARSITY BLONDEEESSS!!! WOOOP WOOOP!!!!!

Griff follows a few steps behind her while Brian tries to keep up as he holds the back of his neck and grimaces in pain.

GRIFF GARRISON: Nice job, Jules.

JULIA HART: That's what friends are for, right?

GRIFF GARRISON: You are carrying us.

JULIA HART: I'm just trying to ride this giant wave of momentum. Even though I lost to Hikari last week, I still feel like I've got a legitimate chance to win. Just needed a little confidence boost tonight, and that's exactly what we got.

If it truly is her time to shine, that's exactly how she needs to feel.

JULIA HART: I really think I'm going to be the Queen of the Mountain.

Perfect.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Hey, I'll do ya' one better!

Thinking that he is about to say or do something completely moronic, the other two look at Brian.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: I KNOW YOU'RE GONNA BE THE QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN!!!

This puts Julia in quite the predicament. She likes the enthusiasm, but she also knows there is still the underlying problems they are dealing with.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: And you know why I know that?

He smacks Griff on the back.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Because we're gonna have your back!

He tries to get a fist bump from Griff, which is refused.

GRIFF GARRISON: Dude, you already cost us our match last week! And you were really trying to do the same thing tonight! What makes you think she wants you anywhere near the ring on Saturday?

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Hey man, I'm just trying to help.

GRIFF GARRISON: Well, obviously you aren't.

JULIA HART: Guys, it's fine. We won the match, so let's just move on. Okay?

She's trying to deflect some of the heat on Brian. Now is not the time to be worrying about him, even though one could argue it is VERY MUCH the time to be worrying about him.

BRIAN PILLMAN JR: You heard her, let's just move on.

GRIFF GARRISON: Yeah, okay...

Griff is not dumb, he knows that Brian's day is coming. His long nights out on the town, his excessive drinking habits that have begun to effect the entire group. That's how it works with the crash and burn. You never know when it's going to come..... but when it does, it hits hard.

This is just another indication that Julia Hart is fully prepared to take charge of the Blondes. She's head and shoulders above the other two in terms of confidence and momentum. Her ascent to the top of the women's division is going to be the biggest reason the Blondes stay relevant. I mean, let's be honest.... She is, without question, the only reason the Varsity Blondes are still even under contract with WLCW.

[?? Unknown ??]

Bright lights everywhere. Camera flashes create an almost blinding experience.

You try to cover your eyes, but your body is not cooperating. You can't move your hands. It's almost as if you are paralyzed from the neck down.

What are you doing!?!?!? Girl, this is it!

You've been waiting your entire life for this moment.

Twenty feet above you is the ULTIMATE prize.

The only thing standing between you and the Women's title is a ladder. Already unfolded and stood up in the center of the ring......

What are you waiting for?

Use the ladder. Climb. CLIMB!!! Rung by Rung.

You can't. As much as you want to, your body continues to fight back and resists.

It doesn't make sense. What is going on?

'BEEP BEEP!'

What is that noise?

'BEEP BEEP!'

It's ear piercing....

'BEEP BEEP!'

.........

Julia sits straight up in her bed, sweat dripping from her forehead. Relief sets in as she realizes she was only dreaming. She reaches over and shuts off the alarm clock that is now the clear culprit of the beeping noise.

JULIA HART: Pheww...

She exhales heavily. That right there was literally her worst nightmare.

JULIA HART: Thank god.

She has to take a minute and get some fresh air. The balcony is a quick escape as she opens the sliding glass door and steps outside.  As she breathes in the fresh night air, it's starts to soothe the anxiety that her nightmare caused. That was something she hopes she never has to experience again. That feeling of being helpless. Frozen and unable to move. Horrifying. That's really the only way to describe it.

Sitting in the small chair, she looks out into the night. Attempting to remove the thoughts of her nightmare, she tries to replace it with the positive vibes she has created the past few weeks. It took a lot of work to get to the point she was at before she put her head down on the pillow. Now, she's stuck out on the balcony of a hotel as she awaits the biggest opportunity of her career.... if not life.

'Don't let that shake you.... It's just another test. You'll ace this one too!'

She takes a few more deep breaths, exhaling slowly with her eyes closed. She's good. Back on track.

We slowly fade out as she gets up and walks back inside.

Nothing is for certain, but it sure looks like Julia can overcome anything at this point.

We are going to find out soon enough.

[Madison Square Garden - New
York] -Ascension PPV

We're here. The Mecca.

It's all going down here tonight.

That's okay though, this place can handle it.

We're looking at Julia Hart and Griff Garrison nonchalantly walking through the underground parking lot.

They appear to be missing someone.

GRIFF GARRISON: Can you believe it? He'd just ghost on us like that?

JULIA HART:
Nope.

This explains their slight lack of enthusiasm, considering the occasion.

GRIFF GARRISON: It's alright, just forget I even brought it back up.

JULIA HART: It's okay, I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about it.

GRIFF GARRISON: What a selfish asshole! Damn!

JULIA HART: Just another obstacle.... they come from every direction, don't they?

GRIFF GARRISON: The fact this is your biggest match of your life and he's not even here... That says a whole lot.

JULIA HART:
Clearly.

She nudges Griff..

JULIA HART:
Really, it might be for the better?

They both look at each other in agreement.

????:
Hello!?

Griff and Julia turn around, only to be greeted by none other than Ken Anderson. He's got on a sharp three piece suit, dressed for the occasion. Julia doesn't hesitate in giving him a huge hug.

JULIA HART: Oh my god!

KEN ANDERSON: How are you guys doing?

GRIFF GARRISON: Good, man! Wow, it's an honor.

He shakes hands with Ken, someone he probably admired as a young child.

JULIA HART: I'll be doing much better once I win tonight.

KEN ANDERSON: I bet you're stoked! You want me to come out and be your special guest ring announcer?

GRIFF GARRISON: That'd be sick, man!

KEN ANDERSON: You know what, I'm gonna go talk to Foley.

He's got a goofy look on his face like a light bulb just went off above his head. He turns to go find Foley, but awkwardly turns back around.

KEN ANDERSON: Hey! Good luck tonight! Go shock the world, girl!

They pound fists.

As Ken turns back around to walk away, he runs smack into Josh Matthews.

JOSH MATTHEWS: JULIA! You mind telling us about the journey to get to this point... in just a few weeks?

JULIA HART: A few weeks? Josh, I don't know what you're talking about... It's been a long four years. I've never wanted something so bad in my life.

JOSH MATTHEWS: I can think of a few women that might want some revenge for being pushed off the stage and through two tables. Any worries about the reprecussions for those actions?

That's a very valid point he brings up..... But, she doesn't care.

JULIA HART: No.

JOSH MATTHEWS: Really?

JULIA HART: Josh, I'm up for the challenge. They better bring their A game.

JOSH MATTHEWS: We are moments away from the Queen of the Mountain match. Any last thoughts?

At this point, she is confident she can do anything.

JULIA HART: With everything Ken Anderson did to help get my wrestling career kick started and the fact he's in attendance tonight.... I feel it would only be fitting for me to walk out of here as the Women's champion. Almost like it's all lined up for it to be my night.

Before he can even say another word, she covers up the microphone with one hand.

JULIA HART: You said it, Josh.

She almost whispers.

JULIA HART: It's time.

And just like that, she walks away.

It's time? It sure is.

This will be the year of......
