[Marriott Hotel - New Orleans]
We open up outside the hotel again, shortly after the encounter between Griff and Julia we saw earlier. She is standing outside the rental car, pacing back and forth. As we get a closer look, she appears to be on the phone with someone.
JULIA HART: Hello?
She raises her tone.
JULIA HART: HELLO!?!?
Still does not receive the response she is looking for.
JULIA HART: Ughh.... what the heck!?
She opens the door to the rental car and jumps inside.
As she is backing out of the parking spot, we fade out.
[A few days earlier]
[Salt Lake City]
Julia passed on the opportunity to road trip with the boys to New Orleans.
Wise decision.
Instead, she thought it'd be best to stay behind in Salt Lake City and do some extra film study on her opponents. She's intently watching Hikari Noa versus Tiffany Stratton from the last episode of Storm. She pauses it a few times to scribble a various notes in a small red notepad sitting on the table next to her.
The post match celebration from Hikari Noa causes a devilish grin to appear on the face of Julia.
She thinks to herself...
"I'll smack that smile right off her pretty little face!"
JULIA HART: Bitch.
She rewinds the tape back to the rolling death cradle performed by Hikari.
Flawless.
There's no denying it.... Hikari is going to be a tough out.
This will be a career defining match for both women, but most importantly for Julia. If she is able to pull off the upset in this, a lot of doubt that has been cast upon her will certainly vanish. Eyes will be drawn to her as she attempts to capture the Women's title.
Deep down, she knows she can do it.
Julia continues to stare at the screen. It's clear that the tape is motivating her.
She loves the thrill of competition.
JULIA HART: Big difference between me and that bimbo Stratton, though!........ I'LL ACTUALLY SHOW UP!
She smiles big, clapping her hands together and then giving her signature two fingers. After a short pause, she rewinds the tape back to a match that took place earlier in the evening between Jamie Hayter and Kimber Lee.
JULIA HART: Gross, just look at this trashy bitch! You're makeup is hideous, Jamie!
Kimber Lee gets the upper hand early and almost scores a pinfall.
JULIA HART: Not impressed, Jamie! Show me something worth watching.
FAST FORWARD ----->>>>>
She stops it when she sees Momo Watanabe standing in the ring with a steel chair in hand.
Julia knows what's coming and can't help but think to herself.
''We already know about you, Momo.... A blind woman could aim a chair shot better than you.''
She points at the screen.
JULIA HART: Pathetic.
She looks at the camera with a disappointed look on her face.
JULIA HART: Be better, Momo!
In the end, it did not end well for Kimber Lee.
'A SHORT ARM LARIAT TURNS HER INSIDE OUT!'
'ONE! TWO! THREE!'
JULIA HART: OOOOOOOOUCH!!!
After that, four words pop in her head.
"Watch out for her."
We fade out as Julia starts writing down some more notes.
She's getting prepared for this.
She's ready.
[Sunday, January 30th, 2022]
[New Orleans]
We are inside the car with Julia Hart. She is driving somewhere, fast and recklessly swerving in between vehicles.
"I really don't have time for this..... Seriously, why am I even chasing him down?"
Her mind and foot are not on the same page as she continues to drive towards Brian's presumed location.
"I'm the one that has a title opportunity."
She turns on her blinker and gets into the right turn lane and turns onto Chartres street. Immediately after she turns, we see a sign hanging off the building to our right.
'Harry's Corner'
After pulling into a small parking lot after the building, she puts the car in park. She grabs her phone from the center console. Rather than unlock it right away, she bites her bottom lip and looks at herself in the rear view mirror.
"I should be more worried about my opponent, Hikari Noa. I've seen some of the things she does to her opponents in the ring. Like... please god spare me from any knees or elbows to my face."
She just can't bring herself to give up on her search for Brian. After one last check of herself in the mirror, she exits the car and heads towards the entrance to Harry's.
It only takes seconds for her to spot Brian as she walks into the bar.. It's the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. The bar is crowded but you can spot his mullet from a mile away. He started growing it back when AEW pooped itself.
JULIA HART: Brian!
This startles him.
BRIAN PILLMAN: Jules! What the hell, ya' scared me.
She slaps him upside the head.
JULIA HART: Don't know how to answer your phone!?
He pulls his phone out of his pocket and quickly realizes that he put it on mute hours ago to avoid Griff.
BRIAN PILLMAN JR: I had to mute my phone, my bad.... Griff is too worried about 2.0, dude! Like freakin' out worried.
JULIA HART: What are you talking about?
BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Me and Griff.. we're facing Matt Lee and Jeff Parker on Wednesday. He's like overly obsessed with preparing for this thing.
JULIA HART: You are totally an idiot! You know that, right?! Uh, you guys are facing the Machine Guns?
He is truly confused. She looks at his red, glassy eyes and loudly blurts out.
JULIA HART: Seriously, are you high on marijuana too? or just drunk?
The bartender looks at her as if to say 'i wish'....
BRIAN PILLMAN JR: I stay away from the grass.
Cleary not the booze as he takes another drink.
JULIA HART: Should I be worried about you and your.....
She clears her throat and looks at the drink sitting in front of him.
JULIA HART: Drinking?
BRIAN PILLMAN JR: I see what this is about! You been talkin' to Griff, huh?
JULIA HART: Of course I have. He's your friend and he's worried about you. Honestly, considering the both of you didn't even know who your opponents were.... Not gonna lie, I'm worried about both of you.
A smirk from Brian as he takes another drink. That's his coping mechanism and he shows it for all to see.
JULIA HART: Look, I get it. You guys both wanted to do better in the battle royal. Totally respect your effort and all that, but you got to get back up! Getting black out drunk isn't going to help US get to where we want to be. Okay?
All Brian can do is nod. She's made him feel bad and that's probably a good thing.
JULIA HART: Seriously, get it together or the Machine Guns will kill you guys.
She puts her right hand on his shoulder.
JULIA HART: Plus... I've totally got a good opportunity, right?
BRIAN PILLMAN JR: Hell yeah.
JULIA HART: Well, I need both of you in my corner.... I want to beat Hikari Noa on Wednesday! I REALLY DO! More than anything. I want every single one of these girls in WLCW to know that I'M FOR REAL! Like, IN THIS MATCH! No excuses and I mean it! That's my expectation! It's going to take both of your support though.
BRIAN PILLMAN: We got you, Jules!
Her smile comes with cautious optimism.
JULIA HART: Can I really trust you?
The look on Brian's face concerns her. We can tell by the look she gives him as the camera fades out.
Will this be the distraction Hikari Noa needs?
Or will Julia do what she always does?
