He stood there for a moment, trying to take it in. Wormtail was standing in front of him, arms outstretched. “I can’t let you kill him. I owe him my life.” Voldemort was staring at him, wide eyed in shock. “He’s right though, I should have been killed when Sirius found me after he escaped. Then he would have been safe from your evil.”

Harry gasped and wormtail turned to him, his face etched with sadness, “Harry, I am truly sorry. If I had it to do again, I would have let him kill me seventeen years ago instead of turning your mum and dad over to him. He will kill me now, I’m sure, but I don’t want you to feel bad. None of this was your fault. It was all mine.” He turned back to face Voldemort who’s eyes had narrowed in rage.

“You dare to defy me Wormtail? Avad--”

“Silencio! Stupify!” Harry had finally come around, he was staring at Wormtail. His heart swelled with forgiveness. “You will no doubt be sent to jail, you know. I can’t help you much with that, though I doubt it will be run by dementors anymore, as Mr. Weasley won’t have them back in his lifetime. But it’s better you pay for your crimes than be killed in cold blood.” harry patted him on the shoulder and nudged him towards the aurors and turned back to Voldemort. “You guys get them all out of here. His time has come, I am going to finish him, I’m ready,” he sighed, eyes filled with resolve. He Stared into Voldemort’s terrified eyes, waiting until the others had left the room. He took Voldemort’s wand and tossed it to the corner of the room.

Harry stepped back then, looking at his one true nemesis. He shook his head in disdain, “without your wand, you really are just a pitiful old man. But I know better than to pity you, I know I can not have a life while you still have yours,” he sighed, leveling his wand between Voldemort’s eyes.

Harry closed his eyes and conjured up the images that struck the most hate and anger in his heart. The picture Moody had shown him of the original order, everyone was so happy; Sirius falling through the veil, a smile of victory still on his face; Cedric’s parents giving him the tri-wizard winnings, their faces lined with greif; Mrs. Weasley crying over the bodies of her children, the boggart cycling through them one by one.

“Avada Kedavra.” He practically whispered the words but they resonated throughout the house.

Voldemort’s lifeless body fell to the floor, the eyes still open in shock, staring at the ceiling. Harry opened his eyes, a single tear slipping down his cheek. He wiped it away as a low, rumbling, boom shook the house. Harry furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and his earpiece crackled to life, several people practically shouting directions at him. He removed it and grabbed Voldemort’s lifeless arm, dissaparating to the ministry of magic.
