Devilman preliminary sketch
I have an action figure of this guy.  Devilman is actually the title and main character of an amine movie.  I never saw the movie (which I will one day), but when I saw the action figure, I thought he looked so cool, I had to get it.

This is a preliminary sketch to a watercolor I'm going to eventually do.  In future pages, I will show you guys something about composition in artwork, whether it's paintings or drawings.  It's not that I want to brag or say "hey, check the exclusive info I know," it's more that I think it's so cool that I want to share it to you guys.  I'm gonna have two diagramic pictures of this drawing with lines on it where it indicates eye flow, and harmonic echoes of lines (e.g.- zigzag lines which you can see right now on the drawing).  It's like, yeah, it's obvious, but this is part of the reason why something looks cool.  Eye movement (which can be used to direct attention to something), harmony, whether it's echoes of shapes, lines, or color or color themes, and other things I can't think of now are all "the little things" that make a cool looking piece.

These are aside from the obvious; technique, the ability to deliver what you want to show (if you want to show something that looks real, the ability to do so, if you want to show something abstract or impressionistic, the ability to do so), and the manipulation of the medium.  So, yeah, there are things that people do that look mad cool, but why is it cool?
Composition elements and final watercolor coming soon (the final might suck, I just started messin' with watercolor, hehe)...
