I hope you have a lot of time on your hands, for this is the...
EPIC of the Shep
Narrated by

It's only reasonable that people perceive the shep as a drudge.  Many don't know why such a vicious tag is ringed around the neck of the only living Shep, but their inferrences are far from unfounded.  The coming of the Shep dwells deep in the coliseum of history, though not one you are familiar with.  The tale of the Shep is a long and taxng one, for the Shep and the reader as well.  You may find yourself frustrated and your patience tested, but one must push forward as the Shep did through his trials.  This is the EPIC of the Shep.
The tops of lengthy trees swayed amongst the wind in time with the low rumblings of a distant and approaching storm.  Trecherous weather was anything but infrequent in these low lands.  The town of Sheple was surrounded by steep sloping mountains on all sides, giving cause for major flooding after large storms.  Travel outside the city was strictly forbidden to all of Sheple's inhabitants... all but one.  His name was Ugmbar the Interloper.  Mighty in his reign of Sheple and incorrigable in his ornate wit, Ugmbar was looked to as Sheple's sole choice for a leader.  All other citezens paled under Ugmbar's totalitarian order.  An elder ritually tells a story of a strong witted man, a drifter, a potentially formidable heir to the Sheple throne.  The drifter installed an aura of confidence to even the meek in the village.  The winds of change could be heard bellowing amongst the village people.  Gatherings began to ocurr regularly in order to debate a more democratic peace for the people of Sheple.  Ugmbar would have no toleration for any challenge to his power.  Any known supporter of such a cause was banished to the caves or faced public execution, the latter if the subject didn't pledge loyalty to King Umgbar.  The peaceful stirs of revelution were suddenly calmed.  All of the known pro-democrats were exiled; however a few understudies remained.  As these understudies learned word of eachother they slowly began to collaberate.  Dicreetness was the forming group's chief concern and always first considered.  The  involvement of many different orders and social classes created tremendous confict within the group.  The presence of a true leader had been void since the drifter had left.  Much clamor and debate surged over the prospect of a figurehead.  None were willing to suffer the wrath of Umgbar shall the group's existance ever surface to the throne's knowledge.  Nor was any social order willing to give power to another kind;  the fear of extortion loomed should a coup ever free Sheple.  After all possible canidates within the group were factored out, the underground organization looked to people outside its grasp.  The common folk were too common, and any others wouldn't be trusted.  The shrewd of the Underground Democrats knew that it would take a new person, one apart from Sheple.  The possibility of another drifter was scarce.  He had been the first visitor in nearly 40 years.  The council, deperate for a solution, turned to science.

That's about enough of the Shep as I can take.
I think I am done writing.
In a way this story abruptly ending like this is in a way symbolic of the Shep... neither are fully developed.
