Eye

the
Storm
This tale is but a myth... A legend taken from the depths of an old book. A book whose pages were hidden away by more than time... This tale is about a Council formed to bring peace to a time of endless war. They were nine, one from each vimte. They had been summoned to rule in peace, but not even they knew what their true fate would be. Forever they would be remembered by the Shanla... Not as their saviors, not as their voices... not even as their own. They would be remembered only as the last attempt at peace... one that failed miserably...
The first came from the deserts,
from the sands beyond Alenios. They say she needed no shell. Her name had
been Aria. And her calling was turned to Wind.
The second
came from the stone mountains of Eliser. They say she could raise barriers
with nothing but a thought. Her name had been Therrin. Her calling was made
into Blood.
The third came from the heart of Lagen. They say barriers to him were null.
His name had been Ien. His calling was rendered into Water.
The fourth came from the ruins of the ancient world. They
say she held the knowledge of the Guardians in her mind. Her name had been
Linea. And her calling was born as Fire.
The fifth came from the islands
of the far south. They say she was the one who had never faught. Her name
had been Nair. Her calling embraced as Mercy.
The sixth
came from the forests that bordered Lagen. They say his mind could not be
contained. His name had been Denin. His calling was awaited as Flesh.
The seventh came from the ice regions of Herasy. They say she could hear
the distant words the wind brought forth. Her name had been Calinn. And her
calling was welcomed as Tear.
The eighth came from the cliffs of the new world. They
say he could see beyond what laid in sight. His name had been Jael. His calling
was chosen as Truth.
The ninth came from the dead
lands of Riser. They say he could could harbor his own secrets from all.
His name had been Sert. His calling, Earth...
They were the greatest of each vimte, and within each, was the hope of a better future. And within each, laid a secret. One that would either save them, or destroy them all...
