Basic Info
Vegeta was a born saiyan, who followed in his father's footsteps, trying to carry on their mission which was to go to all surrounding planet and to conquer them. Vegeta's father was King Vegeta, ruler of the planet Vegeta. Vegeta first appears in the Saiyajin Saga of DBZ. He came with Nappa, his partner, to Earth and were trying to find the legendary Dragonballs to wish for immortality. A saiyan with the name of Kakarot (Goku) had learned of Radditz, the saiyan mission and that he was supposed to be part of it. After learning all of the he had defeated Radditz, and when Vegeta and Nappa arrived he had defeated them too. After being defeated Vegeta went to Frieza planet no. 79 to recover, and soon learned that a creature named Frieza was also after the dragonballs. After hearing this he went in search of them on planet Nameksei, where he was defeated by one of Frieza's henchmen, Zarbon. He was soon sent to a healing capsule where Frieza was going to interrogate him to find one of the hidden dragonballs, but Vegeta escaped with Frieza's 5 dragonballs. Five fighters known as the Ginyu Force nearly killed Vegeta on his escape and stole the dragonballs. From then on he was still in competition with the other Z-warriors to find the dragonballs even though his wish for immortality was never granted.
Bulma, Vegeta and the Vegeta Family
Bulma and Vegeta are my
favorite couple from DB. Their story of how they got together is
one that is unlike no other on any of the Dragonball seasons.
They first meet each other on the planet Nameksei, when Vegeta is
trying to find dragonballs. Bulma, having invented the Dragonball
Radar was also there. The first thing Vegeta says about Bulma is
that when he gave something to Gohan he asked who his gourgeous
friend was. It was pretty obvious that Bulma was scared of Vegeta
when she met him up until the end of the Frieza saga. She would
try to hide when he would come, fearing that he may try to hurt
her because she was on the good side. In the Trunks Saga, Mirai
Trunks (Trunks from the future) comes and warns the Z-warriors of
artificial humans called cyborgs that were coming and they should
train to be stronger when they arrive, Mirai Trunks tells Goku
when he meets him that he is Vegeta's son, but in the present
time he wasn't born yet and Bulma was still going out with Yamcha
and that when Yamcha becomes a major player, Bulma starts to stop
liking Yamcha and starting to care for Vegeta, I think she had
been eyeing him from the day he arrived on Nameksei. 
Right
before the Androids saga the Z-warriors train for 3 years, until
the arrival of the killer androids. During this time Vegeta is
trying to acheive Super Saiyan level, because he is still trying
to surpass Goku in strength. He was staying at the Capsule
Corporation at this time and constantly was training under
gravity machines built by Dr. Briefs (Bulma's father). He kept
getting hurt while training and Bulma would rush and check on
him, and would help him when he was injured. 3 years later, on
the day of the android's arrival you see Vegeta ready to fight
the androids with the other warriors and you also see Bulma,
caring for a small child who coincidentally is Vegeta's child,
named Trunks. 
The other
warriors thought the baby was Yamcha's but they realized that
both Bulma and Vegeta cared for each other, even though Vegeta
didn't show it. It's obvious that Bulma cares for Vegeta because
she shows her feelings toward him, but Vegeta claims that love is
a weakness, even though he himself has feelings for her, but
because of that you don't really see him sharing them, except in
the last season of DB, GT (Grand Tour) you see them walking
together often with the whole family: Bulma, Vegeta, Trunks and
their second child; their daughter Bura (Bra). One of the best
moments of Vegeta (I think) is is the Majin Buu saga when he is
about to sacrifice his life to kill Buu, he gives Trunks a hug
and tells him to take care of his mother. Vegeta was often harsh
towards Trunks, because he claimed to be stronger than him (which
for some time he was). He was kinder to the present Trunks
though, and was surprised when he acheived SSJ level when he was
8 years old and often told him he was proud of him. In GT it's
pretty obvious that he favors their second child, Bra. You always
see him with her; buying her stuff and taking her places. I think
in a small way Bra reminds him of a younger Bulma.
